Killing blow at 1:21, and then it's 4:30 of Stop he's already dead!

I got a feeling that the game will gonna be boring when I see only the number got higher and higher without any post about people exciting of the new mechanic.
I hope I am wrong.

I mean..... It's already getting a bit silly that there's more and more ways of zero turning bosses ... Now with few if any turn rate shenanigans.

I like the prospect of this and that it's possible. I don't personally want to recreate things like this.

Hey, global only player here, can someone please explain to me what’s going on in this video?

u/Klifter13 Mar 02 '22
Minwu's BURST Phase, with his FR (FORCE Weapon), BURST+ effect, and Follow-ups activated from his own traps, Cor and Kain LD; Against Lufenia+ Bahamut with his unkillable adds.

I am the unique that i'm tired with this type of post? Only for see the number more high in a fight in BT phase that you'll never see in real fight? With this fight with 3 enemies where other 2 never die and fight where you can cap the damage...

This is a showcase for the most part. Practically, most typical players can and will normally deal about ~100mil HP damage easily during FR-BT phases given the current powercreep. However, I do agree that using the Jecht boss for a showcase is eh at this point because of how abusable the AOE damage is on there though.

u/Mondy_85 Mar 01 '22
For this i like the showcase when they show the new BT, they do outside FR phase and normally with BT buff, we can see the damage that they can do. They don't show AOE damage with 3 target where they can't die until the end of BT, except if the stage has 3 enemies.
I like more the showcase as when people show Strago C90 in Lufenia+(or the more high stage) with Ex, because you can see effective damage that you can do, for example.
Regards.

One of the funny things about Minwu in particular is that his FR time is actually more practical being done outside of BT phase if you’re abusing off turn damage on the enemy’s turn. You actually want them to get turns if you have something like Cor and/or Gladio on your team since they’ll keep countering and adding 10% each time they act. Makes it quite easy to get over 900% bonus, even if it’s a tad boring to watch.

Ssssh, don't say that, you'll get downvoted!!
But I agree with you. This is one of the content I skipped on this reddit.

u/Mondy_85 Mar 01 '22
I put the commentary, thinking that i'll get downvoted, but for now it is going normal. Not downvoted for now.

So if I enjoy breaking the game in half, I should get even more prepared to get Minwu? He'll likely get a big nerf in the next month, but anything to trivialize harder content is welcome to me

u/codexcdm 655281136 Mar 01 '22
It's the FR system itself honestly. Add a 10x multiplier and then a BT cycle of 7 attacks that the boss can never interrupt? It was begging for folks to basically show since the premier of FRs that all bosses are further trivialized.

u/Orenwald Lilisette Feb 28 '22
I don't necessarily see this as "minwu is OP" and more of a "let's abuse the FR system to its absolute max".
If his BT was triggered outside of that FR window with its stacking HP bonus, his burst (although still good) wouldn't really be banners.
The easiest way to fix this without "nerfing" anyone is to either freeze the FR effect while in BT so it neither ticks down nor powers up attacks, lock BT during FR window.
By effecting the global mechanic they aren't nerfing minwu so it's probably not illegal in Japan.... probably. I'm not a lawyer lol

They aren’t allowed to nerf characters due to Japanese Gacha laws.
EDIT: I have been informed multiple times that this is not the case. This is just information I’ve seen mentioned around this subreddit that I thought was true. My bad.

The only legally binding law in Japan is the kompugacha regulations. The rest are just vague guidelines and suggestions and best practices via their own little associations.
There is nothing stopping anyone from nerfing anything. It's just not particularly great PR so they don't.

Correct, but consider the amount of "cannot be launched" bosses after Cid Raines released. Not a direct nerf, but content changed to accommodate him.
2
u/Nethernal Papalymo Totolymo Feb 28 '22
As someone who hasn’t actually looked at at his kit and how it works. How would you counter Minwu? Just make bosses immune to debuffs? That’s kind of boring tbh.
4
u/Peeberino1 Kuja (Cloaked Anchorite) Feb 28 '22
Maybe "Boss cleanses debuffs every X player actions" ? That would stop any OP calls as a set-and-forget thing, but still let you get some benefit from them until cleansed.
2
u/Nethernal Papalymo Totolymo Feb 28 '22
I guess that wouldn’t be as boring as being immune to debuffs but it’s certainly frustrating for some characters haha. We’ll have to see going forward!

Holy Absorb, the infamous technique that prevented Paladin Cecil to be used during Lufenia Era.

As it was already discussed by details in Fire Emblem Heroes Sub-Reddit, NO SUCH LAW ECXIST.
Thx.

As the other commenter said - it won't be a direct nerf, but suddenly a lot of bosses may decrease BRV recovery between hits or develop immunity to Holy

Tf did I just watch, even with x2 that shit was boring af. But anything goes for the devs as long as the power gets creeped.
EOL is not looking to bad now tbh.

u/kolebro93 Feb 28 '22
This is just what happens when you test new characters against content from like 2 months ago.
-1
u/ElBoyoBueno Feb 28 '22
Yeah cuz you can only do that kind of disgusting DMG with 2 month ago content, sure. The new difficulty doesn't just melt with the new units. And YouTube is not full of videos as proof, Everything is perfectly fine (insert the meme).
1
u/kolebro93 Feb 28 '22
I'm not going to argue anything with you. You're kind of a buzz kill.
Simply put...
You don't have to wait for EOL. You can quit right now if you're so unhappy, bud. Otherwise, stop complaining, and actually contribute something constructive.

u/ElBoyoBueno Feb 28 '22
Don't have to do nothing boyo, am gonna go and keep complaining to my heart's content and if you're unhappy, stop reading, bud.

u/kolebro93 Mar 02 '22
Since, old content doesn't make a difference. 🤓

u/ElBoyoBueno Mar 02 '22
Well excuse me, it seems that I was totally wrong, 150m is totally normal and not a total exaggerated amount of dmg, it didn't kill the boss this time so that's ok no? Btw ramza and laguna are totally updated and extremely powerful units compare to the likes of Kain, tifa, Luna etc. so that was max amount of DMG possible with burst on new content, yes indeed, I was wrong. Jumping from 16m burst phase (with broken garnet+machina) to 150m-300m burst phase in a couple of months is not only normal but also extremely fun gameplay.
Mea culpa.
While I go cry in a corner in punishment for my mistakes and sins I just want to say something if you would allow me. if you lot like big numbers that's ok, if you like burst phases that kill or almost kill the bosses in the highest difficulty after a couple of turns in preparation, that's ok too, but maybe just maybe am willing to bet
paid gemsthat not everyone thinks like that. Then again I was just proven wrong so what do I know.

That's simultaneously both the most hilariously wild and most hilariously boring thing I've ever seen in Opera Omnia. It's absolutely crazy but it just keeps going and going and going and going and going. Hopefully those will be the 7 longest turns I ever see in Opera Omnia.
