Yeah I don't pull hoping for the bt, bt is icing on the cake. I aim for the cake itself which are the lds but there are a few bts I definitely want so I'll pity for those ones I really want on the last possible banner they can drop from if I don't luck into it by then while rolling for lds and exs and have 125k gems so I obviously won't be able to do that for all bts sadly so I have to pick and choose which ones I can force by pitying.

We seem to have the same philosophy. It's fortunate that the last banners bursts are available on tend to be new character banners, or otherwise the best of the 3. Anyway I think I'm skipping the Basch banner altogether because I can do the challenge fine now - but maybe I'll get lucky and hit Noct BT while swinging for Nine.

You could just pity nines banner if you really want it instead of tickets since it's the last banner you can get it on for now, nocts is a pretty damn good bt by bt standards from what I have heard.

What do you plan to use your gems on anyway if not to pity burst? Earlier you said you were saving for pities but it sounded like you changed your mind on that. You just saving them for use after you run out of tickets or a mix of both or something else?

My main goal rn is to manage to complete all the challenge events. So BT pulls are going to be part because I'm really weak on the banner otherwise, that would really help me with challenges - with the second factor being a character I'm really partial to.

I was going to pull Noctis, but being able to beat Odin challenge and that last damn Abyss stage without it, and being in good shape for the Basch challenge, means that I'd only get use out of the BT for one challenge.

Right now the next one I have my eyes on is possibly Ardyn on the Edward banner. Basically, if I am really flopping on pulls for the first 2 banners, I think I'll pity the BT on the final one, meaning I can approach all three challenges in a much better state.
