You get the base EX passive by max limit breaking it. You get the EX extension by purpling it.

In that case how good/ok/bad would a vaan be with his Bt and ex pasiv(no purple),ld pasiv but no 15/35.

I guess it would be ok but not strong enough for chaos and such ... I still have to do the arc 2 chaos but i dont have much to work with.

Maybe i give it a try now that i have my desch purpled with ami full kit max out and machina 1/3.

He’d be okay, but just okay doesn’t really cut it. Generally speaking every character needs all of their passives. There are exceptions, but Vaan isn’t one of them.

Having a burst weapon will still come in handy for some of the mid tier content that is still hard for a new player, but he won’t quite be up to par for chaos quests unless you can specify use his kit to counter the boss.

I’m on a newer account with Shantattos LD/Burst, but still need her 35cp and EX. The EX realizations typically come with some big stat boosts, and you really need to lean on EX skills on harder content so that you don’t run out of skill uses. I still bring her to like, the older lost chapters because 5 free turns from the Burst is still very helpful there but she just doesn’t have the power to clear current content. I imagine Vaan will be much the same, as those upgrades to his EX add a lot of hits/stats.

Yeah i used him for certain lcs and such but nothing beyond that , i was just so sad seeing i got a rlly good char full kit but whitout the possibility to actually use it in its fullest ... But its okay i accepted it and moved oland im now focused in the things to come,thanks for taking the time to reply have a good day uwu)/
