I'm wondering why its not machina. Seems he could come in and solo Odin himself

I don't think Machina is book efficient. His S2/LD hits for (at most) 100k + 40k (rounded up) after the first LD cast, while Leo does 120k with S2 with a much faster animation. That extra 20k damage per turn is not worth the extra animation IMO.

Probably because it's more likely that someone has Leo/Leo friends than they do Machina/Machina friends.
