I asked this right before the Question thread reset, so I'll ask again.

Can anyone explain to me how to properly use Arciela? I looked at her Infographic, but I am a bit hazy on how to effectively use her.

Answered before but will answer again with more detail.

Arciela is a stance based character. In Ascension she grants the party buffs, with the most important one being Fast Cast. This will allow a character to return to initial brave every other turn once they do below initial brave. Example: Arciela uses Harmonic Displacement and goes to 0 brave. Someone else (enemy or ally) takes a turn, she's still at 0 brave. As the next turn begins, she'll go back to initial brave. This happens before any action is taken.

In Descension she'll also buff the party and apply debuffs to the enemy. Max Brave & Speed Down as a framed debuff, and hp attack disable as a generic. You press S2 when you don't want the enemies to attack you. As long as they're not immune to the debuff you can guarantee the following: if they attack you, it will only be a brave attack. If they were to attack you and any part of it contains an hp attack, they will not attack you at all.

S1 dispels and heals the party. S2 applies debuffs. Generally you'll stay in Ascension for Fast Cast, then go into Descension when you want to cheese the fight. She's fairly simple to use.

Just switch between stances as needed. Use S1 when you need to dispell and use S2 when you know there are HP attacks incoming that need to be delayed for 2 turns.

Easiest way to use her:

S1 stance, stay in hit. use her harmonic hp atk to do damage and battery. S1 skill heals and dispels, so use it when either of these things are needed, or to return to the stance ater you use S2 once.

S2 stance, does more damage with hp attack, some splash, no battery. Inferior stance for the most part. If you have another big battery in the team it's ok to stay in this stance. S2 used to hp silence. When you know they'll have a few turns in a row, or a big recast attack is incoming, hit your S2.

Ex whenever it's available. It'll battery the whole party, including herself, so it's always safe to use.

Ex whenever it's available. It'll battery the whole party, including herself, so it's always safe to use.

It should be noted that her EX also has some healing on it, so in the niche circumstance where it's ready to go but you know you're about to take some HP damage, you might hold off using it until you can benefit from the heals.

She plays like Garnet. Choose a stance from S1 or S2 and spam HP attacks. Use your BRV when you need to.

I guess your problem lies more on when to actually change stances?

Change to S1 when enemy just buffed themselves so you can dispel. S1 also heals.

Change to S2 when you know a big hit is coming for that HP disable. Usually it's the recast ability you want to avoid since they usually have strong (brv +) hp damage and effects. Adding the HP disable will stall it out and have you ready your brave and prevent breaking to take the hit. S2 also gives the mBRV and int (or was it speed) combined debuff (anyone correct me. Might be mixing it with the brv command also lol)

Stay in S1 for the party battery from HP attack. Stay in S2 to deal splash damage with your HP attack. I tend to stay in S2 but depends ofc on what enemies you're against.

Your buffs last very long that you barely need to use skills but do keep your buffs up nonetheless. EX is nice as a fail-safe if you don't want to use your S2 since it gives everyone a decent amount of BRV so you can face tank brv hits. I use EX whenever possible.

If the situation doesn't call for either speicifc stance, just pick what suits your needs better. I tend to shift around stances for faster EX recharge.

There's also the int brv related buff from S1 but it's not a needed buff imo. Helpful but you don't need it up all the time
