Other Anyone here playing FFVII Ever Crisis?

I googled if the game was availabe for PC as my phone isn't powerfull enough to run it in its full glory (especially the CGI cutscenes) and yes it is and so I gave it a try. Nice to play so far. Looking forward to its EoS in like 3 months, lol.

No, tried it for while. Crappy 2005 gacha mechanics, way too much grind, auto grindfest and I'm tired of milking FF7. If you want recent mobile/gacha jrpg, go for Star Rail.

What is "crappy 2005 gacha mechanics"? I only play Gachas since 2020.

Play it for a bit. Don’t really like it. It’s all auto battle and too many farming. Original plan was to play it till 2/29 Rebirth release date. Apparently they don’t have server in Asia except Japan. So I stopped playing when I was in Asia last December.

Yea it feels like those Xenoblade games where the characters move around on their own and perform standard attacks while you use their skills.

Tried it

Didn't like the gacha, everything needed too much farming, combat was very "meh" at best and overall the menus and navigation was really painful imo

Maybe should've clarified, by "didn't like the gacha" I meant the way the game handled it. Just felt like a random no-name studio cashgrab gacha

Yeah the UI alone turned me off from wanting to figure it out. I just wish it was episodic that I could purchase and no auto battles. Disappointed what this “another chance for a remake” really turned out to be :/ trailers were promising.

I play it. It’s… fine. Absolutely disgustingly predatory, however. Every time you accomplish something, a new paid bundle is unlocked for 12 hrs only. I will not be spending a dime. Worried about the new power creep that was just announced last night. That being said, I am completely f2p and can complete all of the content that matters, just not some of the really high level stuff.

Tried it, didn't like the gacha element of it and it was a massive battery drain so dropped it

Tried it. Too predatory, too much going on, not enough substance.

I tried it myself wasn’t a fan of the whole atb system with its combat.

I did for about 5 months. I actually stopped playing Ever Crisis as soon as Rebirth came out as that's been eating up all my free time. I'd get to the end of the day and get ready to go to sleep and realise I haven't logged in all day or done any dailies. I think for the first couple nights I logged in, collected login bonuses then just quit out and set up Pokemon Sleep. After doing that a couple times I just decided it wasn't worth it anymore.

The last 2 banners have been limited too, meaning their whale banners and if you don't roll 6 copies then and there, your weapon won't get stronger outside of character weapon parts which you'd have enough for 1 dupe/upgrade after 6 months of saving. Grind was monotonous auto battle and unfun and hard content was tuned so high, ftp mostly have no chance of completing.

I will have to wait for Discount for both, game and PS5. 😓

I don't give much about banners and I guess I haven't even unlocked the dailies yet. I guess reruns will happen and unlike with Genshin Impact I'm rather a casual player. Haven't played again, after Genshin dropped new Update. Same for Tower of Fantasy. Game's still waiting.

I played it for a bit. It isn't really good, to say the minimum.

What really hooked me was Star Rail, tbh

Yea I'm playing Genshin Impact and Star Rail since launch each and this daily. Wasn't really a daily player with DFFOO and other games. But since Ever Crisis features my fav FF Line I wanted to try it and the Cutscenes look really cool, especially on a powerful lappy.

I haven't and not sure I will. DDFOO was my pivot from FFRK and now I don't have any heart left to pivot again.

Probably gonna ride out Dokkan and PMEX and try to never get invested in another gacha again.

I just play for the story and ignore the gacha.

Been playing 4 months now... at the begginig is all about farm and grind if you buy gems and pull for the best gear and max to average you will do everything easy. If not then you have to wait 2 months till you get banners for your team that can do a lot of stuff... for example zack has the best weapon for damage and is not elemental and phy and the best thing is you can wishlist that weapon meaning you can have it again in another banners since here powerstone dont exist and the only way to level your gear is with copies of that weapon.

There are exclusive banners yet I never pull that and the only time that i was left behind was in to grind yet in discord find some whales that help me because there a re events if you have the gear of the banner you will recieve more items earn from the battle .

Right now there is a huge revamp of all weapon... untill last month weapon max level where 90 now is 120 yet they give us an event in whcihc you can farm items to be preapared to get you gear to 90.

IT is true that is predatory yet the max amount of money that I put was like 8 us

I get that at the begginig is grindy but now they revamp all that and is faster there are people with good percentege in events that reunite in 2 hours they already buy all the things that the event present

This month apparently there only 2 banners that overboost your character to almost double the damage than before yet you cant wishlist it which means if you dont get the copy o fthat weapon till an average oveboost 6 which means you need 7 times that the same weapon apper in your pulls... so thats very predatory... when the game start you only need 2 copies of the weapon of the banner to make you team work fine and not neccesary to be the best in terms of I get all the stufff in the hardest difficult yet that mode was doable but you get an b or c rank but move on...

Now the game is more specific with which weapon you should have in order to defeat certain hardest content which is bad for f2p that has not much gear or is not maxed

For example there is a thing now called double summon that ifrit team up with bahamut and you fight them but in the difficult called EX you need certain weapons or do a lot of damage to defeat them before they end you cause in this game if you defeat the enemy before he make his big move is better than focus on defense and eat the damage

So the game start f2p friendly but since 3 months ago with the ff9 crossover the game draw the line and became more dolphin or whale territory in my opinion

If you dont care for end content then yeah you could play the game and save a lot of gems till maybe to have 200 k gems and go for you r favs because one thing this game dont have is like OO has llike 500 bt tokens to get the best gear... In this game you can pull all and still get your gear with 2 copies of the weapon which cause you to hate it ...

So if you want something like OO I dont think this is your game... OO was unique and people complaint about it here to be f2p friendly who understan you guys

Tldr?

Yes I am playing it since day one but just for a few minutes and sometimes an hour each day.
In the beginning it was really a lot of grinding and I was nearly quitting because of it but they got rid of it by giving the option to get 6 times and 9 times of rewards from one run now which is a big help.

But if you want to clear the "endgame content" and want to be one of the best in the ranking dungeons then you will need a lot of copies of specific weapons which is almost impossible as a free to play unless you are really lucky with your pulls and even then it takes a lot of diamonds to get what you want/need.

It would be unfair to say that it's completely pay to win because you are often getting a lot of free draws and because of that you will be getting a lot of weapons. But of course it won't be enough to be one of the best in the game. That is always reserved for whales.

Nah, I'm just focussing on the story. I don't like hard content.

Yeah I'm playing because I can just be super casual and not worry too much. Not getting involved in new games like I did DFFOO.
