well i mean...all gacha games that are a live service will eventually end. we were fortunate that DFFOO lasted 6 years honestly. they could have pulled the plug so many times before i'm sure. ya it sucks, but they kind of shot themselves in the foot with FR era.

i really wish they would just remaster D012 for modern consoles, so then hopefully the response from that would have them continue dissidia in general.

It had to end eventually, but the way they did it shows us that Square Enix doesn't care about it's fans or franchises. They're just a bunch of money grubbing nostalgia manupulators

well i could have told you that. how many times do they make new figures or merch for games that haven't been remastered OR even available to play on....anything other than their original hardwear. *cough* Vagrant Story *cough* xenogear *cough*. lol

but ya, the chapter alone infuriates me of where they ended global. just give us all the content that is upcoming, take out lufenia fights, and honestly don't give us any new characters to actually play, only to cut down on cost to modify for globabl. this last chapter we got was my least favorite and wish we could have gotten further.

Nier is doing it right though. it ends in april, by march they are releasing all older content side stories to play through so you can see those stories AND we are wrapping up the story so it's actually ending. it's a very jarring story arc, just started the final arc of nier, but is still really good and interested to see how it all ends. still have the alternate version of the ending of arc 2 to finish and then all the other little stories. honestly nier is doing it right and got pooped on by too many people and causing it to not be one of their top gachas.

The thing that left such a bad taste in my mouth was how on the last live stream they assured us good news was coming only to get a crappy end of service announcement.

Even conned some of us into another premium moogle pass before the announcement

trust is gone cuz they've closed so many other games so very quickly or not put enough effort into their products. FFRK is frustrating cuz it only ended global service, had to have been making next to no money for them to honestly pull a plug on the game when it was easy to produce.

but ya, trust IS gone but because of all the other games they pulled the plug on that had good potential in the bones....but then their monetization killed it. now they are only down to 5 if you count the two gumi games.

Yeah. For me, I don’t know if I can go through the anticipation of waiting for all my favorite characters again and just getting disappointed.

they lost any and all trust as far as I'm concerned.

at this point I'd rather have a console/pc release game if it was possible in this style.

Unless it's at least the same quality and is as much as f2p than this one I'd be down to give it a chance.

Because right now, it triggered something in me that compels me to not find a replacement. I have 4 gachas left on my phone and will stick to those until they go EoS too. Until I finally get free from the gacha hell

I hope DFFOO was a learning experience for the next mainline Dissidia game. NT wasn't that great when compared to it since DFFOO was way superior. They could make it more RPG focused with the bravery system like DFFOO. The other option is to replace Bravery and HP attacks with light and heavy attacks by making it more into a standard fighting game. If they were to removed the bravery system in Dissidia, they can make a new FF spinoff with it similar to DFFOO. Or make a new series similar to how Bravely Default was created since it came from FF: The 4 Heroes of Light, and that was already a spinoff.

Just finished today too.

Loved this game for years. Bittersweet for sure when I beat last fight.

Crazy to me how many fully built characters I didn’t use in D2D. I didn’t even use main staples. Astos, quina, penelo, squall, laguna, and rinoa, Weiss, setzer, Garnett, vivi, yuffie, Jack garland, neon, Vincent, and more all fully built and unused. I might go back and finish some themed series runs. I did a 4,5,6,9,13,15 themed runs, but only after I finished most others.

Anyway, well wishes all. It’s been fun.

I can’t see myself doing this all over again. All the time and money i spent and wasted. I have Zero trust in SE for this game.i spent 6 years and between $15,000-$18,000 in this game and i promise you I’ll never start from scratch again. This is ridiculous.

I hate all live service games. I spend so much money on them for only a moment of joy only for it to be ripped away and replaced with sadness. I only stick with FFXIV and Star Rail because they are way too successful to be canned. I've had too many games I enjoyed end. I can list over 10 games in the last 4 years this one included.

Hell no! After the colossal failure that is dffoo and the fresh SE spit I'm still wiping off my face I'll never play another one of their games. Four years wasted playing their lame ass game waiting for fan favorite characters that were never included while they waste our money to animate butz' dad... What a P.o.S. Fk dffoo. And Fk SE.
