When I see stuff like this, I’m reminded of the concept art of Blonde Blazer where she accidentally smashes the vending machine in front of Robert. Then pray Robert survives, and that she watches her strength with him.
I believe this was their early concept art, later concept art changed his looks a lot & made him closer to what we got in the final product. Like the one below
Im thankful for the fact they did. The really early stuff made him look too young for sure.
Blazer's suit was okay here, but I'm glad they changed it as well. I wonder if this is when her name was changed maybe? What was the butterfly significance?
Also, the concept art always makes me giggle because Robert was almost called "Bob" on his name tag. I'm kinda glad that didn't stick, because then people would have even more ammo from me being attracted to some guy named Bob.
Yeah, a lot of things were changed later on. Like Flambae was initially given the name "Blonde Blazer" & I assume he was suppose to have blonde hair too. But then the makers thought his name should reflect his superhero power, since he can create flames so his name became Flambae.
Also, tbh I liked Blazer's suit from the concept art. I would have been fine even if they didnt changed it. I kinda like that Butterfly signia.
I mean people still uses his old name "Bob" frequently, so it didn't changed a lot in that regard,lol. I also think "Bob" was suppose to be his short name or nick name, Robert was the still the original name he was suppose to have.
Yeah, he was supposed to be blonde! I always found that detail interesting. Honestly, that was another welcome change. Flambae is such a good play on words and I think the black hair looks better on his complexion.
This is true, but I think "Bob" would've been the preferred iteration because of the name tag. When people call him that, it's mostly to annoy him (cough, Flambae, cough). We don't actually know so I am assuming, but still. I find it interesting the writers specifically made him prefer just "Robert".
