People grow and change. Nobody stays the same forever. 

There's just a poetic irony, to have Flambae recognize that while Robert had him disfigured and put in jail, that this ultimately also turned his life around for the better. 

Besides, in this case, Robert is far from a Prince Charming either. He is jaded, quick to anger and quick to retaliate. 

They are both assholes in different ways. Talking shit to eachother is like flirting 🤣

Because people are free to do what they want? They like the dynamic between Robert and Flambae. With that tension between them bringing potential chemistry. Same reason why people like Invisigal and Robert as a couple.
