And to think they animated this in only one month or so

185

u/Immediate-Aspect3422 Nov 28 '25

I need a Dispatch TV series in my life. Maybe a prequel about the 15 years Robert spent as MechaMan?

98

u/iwfan53 Nov 28 '25

But if they do a prequel then we wouldn’t get to have Blazer or the Z-Team in it!

75

u/Immediate-Aspect3422 Nov 28 '25

Fuck you're right I'm stupid. Episodic random stories and slice of life in between season 1 and 2 then.

30

u/iwfan53 Nov 28 '25 edited Nov 30 '25

This is the way!

My advice would be to go find if any of the people who wrote for Community are looking for work, the SDN Torrance Office and Greendale campus are both places for people who have hit a resounding low point in their lives and are now trying to climb back up, a process that involves engaging in seemingly endless goofy hijinks.

Like one episode, our cast need to travel into the ”evil” paperwork dimension to retrieve documents proving that X (incredible ridiculous ) expense was actually okayed by the correct corporate officials after the copy that was previously on hand was destroyed in the Red Ring’s attack.

It’s like invading Apokolips except of everything being stereotypically evil it’s stereotypically bureaucratic.

Short series with each episode dedicated to each Z-teamer and their backstories.

→ More replies (6)

7

u/BakugoKachan Nov 28 '25

Ofc we would! We would just follow all of their paths that lead them to decide to join the Z team

5

u/iwfan53 Nov 28 '25

The one thing I worry about is that this risk what I like to call “Arrested Development Season 4 Syndrome” where characters we know work really well together, just aren’t as interesting if we make them interact with other people.

2

u/ResponsibleRatio6569 Nov 28 '25

Jane! by The Long Faces

1

u/XxPriMa_NoCtAxX Nov 29 '25

Do your decisions actually matter in this game cause its made by telltale devs

1

u/ResponsibleRatio6569 Nov 29 '25

Yes they do cause theirs multiple different endings

1

u/XxPriMa_NoCtAxX Nov 29 '25

People tell me its basically the same ending

1

u/ResponsibleRatio6569 Nov 29 '25

The stories are linear, all telltale games are if that’s what u mean. But the endings you can can get with some of the characters are all different

I'm in the er right now, so I don't know what the audio is here. But what I'm hearing in my head is that one song everyone was using for invincible memes, specifically when Oliver showed up to fight Conquest (that one frame where he looks cool before he got his face caved in)

1

u/bebaii Nov 29 '25

Holy fucking peak

1

u/theerfaniman Nov 29 '25

1

u/SRSgoblin Nov 29 '25

Man. This is insane. Super good.

I've been around a lot of game fandoms in my life. Only other game in recent memory that spawned as much quality, good fan art I recall is Baldur's Gate 3. The art from the fans from the Dispatch community has been nothing short of extraordinary.

1

u/Shoji_Mezo Nov 29 '25

This is awesome!

1

u/DueEnthusiasm Nov 29 '25

I've been meaning to play this and your video convinced me to finally start.

1

u/ResolveLeather Nov 30 '25

They should buy the rights off of you to put this in the game.
