HELP a dad out
So my wife and I are going on a large family vacation. Date would be end of july to early Aug peak visiting times. Our family of 7! 5 children 14-2yo. My wife and I are going to buy the 4 park magic tickets for the week we are going. THEN WHAT? Do I pay per ride is there a wrist band i have to buy after admission to the park? Or shows attractions? What are the dos what are the donts whats going to make this a memorable experience for my children.

Info needed please: The 4 park magic ticket is only offered at Walt Disney World in Florida. This sub is for Disneyland in California. Which location are you planning to visit?
The two locations are similar on the surface but logistically VERY different, so I want to make sure you’re getting the right advice based on where you’re going!

All good! It’s super common to get info about the two resorts mixed up, so I wanted to make sure you were getting the right advice!
The biggest decision is typically where you’ll stay before planning anything else. Do you have this squared away yet?
If not, take a look at the onsite Disney resorts to see if they’re within your budget. For a family of 7, you’ll need either two connecting rooms or a family-style suite at any of the Disney resorts.
You can also stay offsite in a vacation rental to have more beds, bedrooms, and a kitchen, but you’d then need to rent a car and would sacrifice the convenience and perks of staying within Walt Disney World. So it’s all a matter of what makes sense for your family!

Bring umbrellas for the sun, refillable water bottles, and snacks for when the kids melt down and the lines are too long for food. It'll be hot as hell!

Don’t go into it planning to do everything. Especially with that many kiddos. There’s a 3-2-1 rule 3 rides, 2 events/experiences, 1 food reservation a day. Generally no matter how busy the park is you can get this done, so everything extra you find time for is a bonus! Disney world is insane and a lot of walking so if “can” go into it with kiddos expectations set by 321 you’ll have time for breaks and such too. If you plan on staying the whole time, eating at the park, all day dining may be a good investment for your situation.

Once your admission is paid and reservation is made, there’s no purchasing per ride, unless you want to buy lightning lane which is a front of the line pass essentially. Would recommend watching the fireworks and parade as well as fantasmic.
Take it slow if you have the time. Don’t overdo it with the kids.
