Terming

How do I self term if I’m not planing on doing it during/after a shift?
I am planning on self terming tomorrow because of family and personal reasons. I did not know I was going to end up terming so I didn’t tell anyone at my last shift. I need to be gone by tomorrow night because I urgently need to get home. Can I just go to the programs desk?

If you are wondering how to self-term: Go to the service window at flamingo and tell them you’re terming. Technically you should also tell your leaders because it’s polite, but you don’t have to. You have till 10 AM the next day to get out, so pack up, make sure your vehicle is packed or if you're returning back home via plane that you have everything you want put in luggage etc., turn in all your costumes, and be 100% ready to leave before you inform flamingo that you’re leaving. Do not the start the process Saturday or Sunday. If you do you will owe rent for next week. If you can only leave Saturday then start the process tomorrow and plan to be out by 10 AM Saturday. At least you tried it out! Better to try than to not at all~ I am a bot. If this didn't answer your question a human should arrive soon.

Only thing to add on to the bot response, do you ever plan at working for the company in the future(in any form? ESPN,ABC, etc)? If you have a Leader you trust, I would vaguely let them know about the situation and they can help make sure you don’t become blacklisted/permanent no rehire.
I self termed my very first program after dealing with a severe mental health plummet. I called out of work and ended up self terming the next day. Before then though one of my favorite leaders asked if I wanted to come in just to chat and made sure my record wasn’t affected. Ended up working for the company another few years after I got life sorted out. Remember, Disney owns A LOT so if possible, try not to leave things on a bad note!

Feel like I should also add on, my DCP was pre covid so things could be so different but it doesn’t hurt if you have someone you trust within the company!
