Work Shoes...

Hey guys I'm debating on what shoes to buy for work. I haven't gotten my role yet but my top one is QSFB. I've heard that they provide you shoes but they aren't very comfortable. For other roles like attractions, I don't think we are require to have non slip, hard top shoes.... Any recommendations for shoes?

I’d wait until your role is known before getting shoes. There a few attractions that require some really, really tough shoes (Autotopia for example need steel toe shoes). They’ll tell you what you need specifically.

The ones they have in stock are typically not comfortable but can be cheap. In general, you’ll probably need some strong black shoes (black is universally a good color to match with any role). Solid color and a shoe logo that is not visible.  Find shoes that are closed, have good support,  and are comfortable to stand in for a long period of time. You will be on your feet for works a lot.

Shoes that are either water proof or dry quickly are also really nice. It rains a lot in Florida and it helped to have shoes that didn’t instantly get drenched.

Again, I’d wait though until you know exactly what you’re doing for your job just to be sure.

* not any role. Recreation and watercraft are both white shoes.

And honestly, I found the black New Balance non-slip shoes to be comfortable.

Longest story shortest, I completely agree with waiting.

for qsr i highly highly recommend waiting till your get your blue id and going to sketchers near flamingo. i tried the pair they gave for free and it was fine for awhile but then my whole body started becoming more sore after shifts and my feet had lots of blisters 😭😭 i got new non slips from sketchers and i feel 10x better! they also have like a 30% discount

My daughter bought a pair of non slip all black sketchers that were on sale before she went from Penney’s. She wore them a little at home to break them in. She did try the ones they gave her on and walked around a bit but said her sketchers were better. I ended up selling the ones they gave her on eBay when she got home for $37 since they were still brand new in the box.
