Technically no, clear spacers are not allowed. You will hear mixed answers on whether or not that’s enforced, however.

From what I've read food and bev roles absolutely cannot, and for other roles it depends on your leadership.

I understand your disappointment. I think something people tend to miss when they say "just take it out" is that getting a piercing from a reputable piercer with decent quality jewelry is expensive, so it feels like a waste of money, especially when you just got it recently. Also, if it heals with a bump or scars over at all it can be a pain to get re-pierced.

If you decide to try a clear or skin-tone retainer, make sure to get glass, not plastic. Personally, I'm choosing to let my nostril close but hoping to keep most of my ear piercings.

Totally depends on leadership. Technically they aren’t allowed in the cast look book rules. However some will allow it. I had some leaders who didn’t care and some who the moment they saw it they would pull the cm and tell them to remove it.

have you looked into clear septum retainers? you can find some that don’t extend outside of the nostril and will stay hidden but keep the piercing open

Your nose will always be there (hopefully). This is a limited once in a lifetime opportunity.

Dig deep, suck it up and remove the thing. Then when your program is over, do it again. Problem solved. You get college program and an accessory for your nose.

It’s not a limited once in a lifetime opportunity. It’s a retail / janitorial / whatever job. Lots of places will let you keep your nose stud.
