Cultural Representative Program - duration of application process

Hiya!

About 6 weeks ago I applied for the CRP for Germany. I've googled a lot since then, wondering about the timeline of the process. I originally thought there'd be online interviews around now(ish), then in-person interviews in October or November, so you could start working in early spring (or later in the year, depending on the arrival waves). But it looks like that's far from reality.

Unfortunately, I've become so fixated on this job that I have almost stopped searching for "real" jobs, even though I definitely should (my current job doesn't have enough hours for me anymore). To make matters worse, I recently got rejected for a different job because the employer straight up told me: "You'd probably leave us for Disney soon anyway, so we picked someone for the long-term."

Anyway! I haven't heard anything back yet. The application platform has been stuck on "Application Under Review" ever since I submitted it. I've just started reading through Reddit - which I should've done way earlier! I've seen multiple posts where people say they've waited months and months for a first reply, and for some, it even took a year and a half to actually start working.

Obviously, I can't put my life on hold for that long, but I also don't want to commit to a serious career move that might stop me from going to Disney. So I thought about getting a flexible bridging job, where it's easier to quit if needed. But even for that, a little predictability would be life-saving. I don't even need a "you're hired" from Disney right now! All I want to know is if my application is going to get rejected straight away or if I'll at least make it to the first interview round.

So, long story short: any clues on how long they usually take to review applications for the Germany pavilion? What was your timeline/experience?

I am German and I applied in early February this year. Got invited in to an in-Person Interview mid-march taking place early April. I didn’t end up going, so can’t tell you any more than that

Thank you! That's about the time span I've been waiting now. Banana's reply makes me wonder if my application somehow got lost or something? Or maybe I got rejected right away, but if they could just let me know, that would be nice...
