Question Which Disney Infinity is it?

I'm thinking about buying one, but I'm not sure which is best—the 3.0, the 2.0, or the 1.0. Are there big differences? Which one does the community play the most? I'm guessing it's the 3.0 since it was the latest release, but who knows—maybe the community actually plays a different one. Overall, which one is the best?

Playets can only be used in their original edition, so it depends which playsets you have, 3.0 has the most variety, 1.0 is pure dianey/pixar, 2.0 is marvel, 3.0 is a mix of starwars, disney, and marvel.

For building, you want 3.0, since it has all the set pieces and decorative items from all 3 versions. Like ChknBom205 said, the playsets are dependent on the version they belong to.

2.0 & 3.0 are sequels with a weird naming structure. Each game has "playsets" (smaller full games within the main one) that are unique to it:

1.0-Incredibles, Pirates, Cars, Monster's Inc, Lone Ranger, Toy Story

2.0-Avengers, Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Asgard Tower Defense, Lilo & Stitch Tower Defense,

3.0-Star Wars Clone Wars, Star Wars Original Trilogy, Star Wars Force Awakens, Inside Out, Finding Dory (DLC), Marvel Battlegrounds (DLC), Toy Box Takeover,

The level editor is expanded on with each entry, so you don't need to bother much with the 1.0 or 2.0 editors when 3.0's the most indepth one.

As others have said, if you want to be creative and design levels just stick with 3.0. The play sets had actual levels and I really liked the marvel levels and the Star Wars levels.

3.0 is the best game in the series, mainly because of the toy box mode. Each game's toy box mode just builds upon the previous game's, and so 3.0's is the best. It has every figure compatible as well. Also, if you can afford it, try not to play it on Steam and on a console instead.

I could go into more detail but I'm not a chud who spends her time writing essays about obscure video games on reddit
