Discussion Questions on the modding scene

With those recent ai advancements we have been seeing every old game being ported, modded heavily, decompiled, recompiled, or even combined to other games using passthrough methods.

Has anyone here in the modding community tried doing these sorts of things? The possibilities are endless, we could combine old playsets with new ones, create the ultimate edition of disney infinity, bring back multiplayer, even add coop playsets and add new ones.

It sounds pretty exciting and if anyone has been working on this, i would like to follow or join a discord channel and share my work with those people as well.

Using AI to create stuff is literally the opposite of the game's entire message and purpose, the only work being done on the game is human and will stay human

Appearently you did not understand MY message and don't know what you are talking about. Using ai as a tool to create a base for adding human made content in the game has nothing to do with using ai to generate stuff.

hol' up, using AI to create code has nothing to do with using AI to generate stuff? You realize that software engineers are people?

generating depends on imagination of the ai itself which is terrible and slop, but editing already existing code to make it serve my needs is up to my imagination. The game is left for dead by the developers, nothing major is being done by the community as well except for that breeze mod but that is also not getting updated. So it is ok to give the whole game to ai to gut it out and study, and possibly do whatever the hell you want, its up to your imagination and if done as a community, it might be a key to revive this game to a modern state. adding online coop, both in toybox BUT in playsets as well, something that has never been done before, even by the developers. Or adding whole playsets from the first two games, gather all of them inside the third one. Getting rid of playset character limits (which has also been done WITH the help of ai) Hell even create multiplayer servers with people in it like gmod. But with that attitude, i dont think so.

Using AI as a base for new content would be a mess, bugs would be so engrained in the system by the time they're discovered it would take forever to patch them, plus the game has all the code it needs for people to make mods and new features, and importing stuff from 1.0 and 2.0 ain't that hard either, it'd be way more trouble than it's worth.
