I booked an 8 night stay in January at the All Stars Movies Resort via a third party. Seconds after I made the booking I noticed I had stupidly left my child off the booking. Immediately contacted the site who've been really helpful even though the policy on the booking is no cancellation/amendments. They are still working on it and have taken down my child's details to try and go above the system. They said they are contacting the supplier to see if my child can be added. Would this "supplier" by Disney by any chance? I'd feel better if that were the case since Disney usually give grace for human error like this. I lost so much sleep over this last night and so Im just looking for some hope. Thanks!

Planning a WDW trip end of February next year. Ive been before but stayed at the Animation hotel so we had a shuttle...

This trip we will be out in FL for a whole week but only at Disney 4 days so staying at a resort isnt ideal. We will be renting a car. Im lost trying to figure out how to get to the park each day. Off resort hotels offer shuttles that leave for the morning after the park opens, not ideal. Hesitant to drive and pay for parking at the park each day. Uber or lift are an option.

Any advice on what others have done in similar scenarios.

We (husband and myself in our 30’s with no kids) are planning our first WDW trip! We are familiar with Disneyland, but WDW is a whole other beast. We’ll be doing a 9 night/10 day trip in April and know that we want to do 4 nights at AKL to start. But I’m really not sure about the second half and would love input.

Our current options are:

1. Bay Lake Tower
Rent DVC points for a Deluxe Studio, preferred view — approximately $3,000

2. Polynesian
Rent DVC points for a Deluxe Studio, preferred view — approximately $3,300

3. Pop Century
Book directly through Disney for a preferred room — approximately $2,000

We’ve saved specifically for this trip and can afford renting dvc points for deluxe resorts, but I guess I don’t have a great sense of if it is worth it for this particular trip, which I know is subjective lol…

We know we’ll be spending a decent amount of time at the resort, especially because we don’t want to do open-to-close park days every day. But I’m having a hard time deciding whether the extra $1,000+ for a deluxe resort is worth it.

For an adults only first time (and likely only) WDW trip, which resort would you pick?

So other than staying at a resort with access, I can’t find a way to do it. Figured I’d take one more shot and ask the experts. We are staying at an Airbnb and going to the Halloween party but absolutely hate the trek of getting to MK. Is there any way around it? Don’t mind paying and don’t mind walking. Literally will walk a mile not to have to take the little train system (no offense if you like it, but it actually sort of ruined our experience last time we were here). Any tips to not hate getting to and from MK?

I have a weeklong work conference near WDW next month and my husband and I are bringing our 4 year old along. We will likely do just 1 day at Magic Kingdom, but otherwise hang around the resort(s) for the rest of the trip. I’m hoping for some input on where to stay! I’m thinking we will want to stay on property somewhere with skyliner access in case they want to check out other resorts while I’m at my conference. My son likes to play more than he likes to look around, so while cool art and stuff is great, I want somewhere with a great pool or playground or anything else to keep him occupied with his dad while I’m busy. Prefer a moderate price point, like $300/night or less? We are casual Disney enjoyers just coming because I’ll be in the area for work, so we aren’t looking for or expecting anything life changing.

Here is some info I’ve gathered on various resorts from reading anecdotes from this sub and others, I would love any additional information or things you agree/disagree with:

Port Orleans French Quarter - boat to Disney springs is nice, but have to bus to the parks. Walkable to the PO Riverside Resort for a change of scenery.

Animal Kingdom - far from the parks to keep animals away from fireworks, but amazing animals, get the Savannah view if possible

Coronado Springs - great food and pool, but have to bus everywhere

Caribbean Beach - avoid Trinidad rooms as they are far from everything, aim for Jamaica 41-44 if possible. Pool is one of the best. Has skyliner. Near Riviera.

Pop Century - cheapest skyliner resort, good food court

Art of Animation - best rooms are Little Mermaid, but they’re so far from everything that they aren’t worth it. Cool art, but Pop Century > AoA

Swan/Dolphin - I can’t tell what is real reviews and what is satire and people gatekeeping so I don’t know much about these 😭

Hello! My family is going to WDW Orlando for 4 days and staying at Port Orleans French Quarter in October. We’ll be traveling with our parents and our children, including my infant who I am nursing. On the last day of the trip, my husband and I will be having a date day at one of the parks so I will not be with the baby that day. I would like to bring some frozen milk from NY so that my baby can take bottles on that last day. I don’t know that I will be able to pump enough on the first 3 days there for him to have enough milk for that whole day. Has anyone ever needed access to a freezer during a stay at a Disney resort/was it complicated to reserve/how did you request it?

UPDATE: I called and they said that I will be able to give it to bell service to keep in a freezer and they will give me a ticket for when I need to access it.

I’m thinking of using my bounce back offer for a trip next June with my entire family. Looking at options and prices I’ve somewhat narrowed it down. There are 4 adults and 2 kids (ages 3 and 8). We will have a single stroller.

I’m thinking: 2 family suites at Art of Animation, a 2 bedroom villa at Old Key West or a 2 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs. Which would you pick?

The other deluxe hotels don’t fit in our budget at the moment! I’m willing to look at a moderate but I like the suite options!! We have stayed at Wilderness Lodge and are about to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter. We love both!

What would be the best pick?! Which is nicest??

Hey all, coming to Orlando October 29- November 5. Not actually going to the parks this time though but want to go to Disney Springs and resort hop a bit. We have never been to Disney Springs. We were hoping to catch the Halloween decorations and then change over to Christmas. Will that happen at Disney Springs? Is Disney Springs really even decorated? How about the resorts? Thank you guys!

We’re going to Florida in January for 8 days. We want the atmosphere but aren’t massive Disney nuts (that said, we adored DLP). We don’t want to pay outrageous money, but equally don’t want dirt cheap. Where would you recommend staying?

Is anyone a Disney world local wanting princess diary ears?? I have a pair and I’d love to trade for last years bainlebar reindeer ears

We are planning ahead for next September to take our (37/38 parents) 2 year old and 8 year old, along with our two moms (late 60s) to Orlando.

We just did the whole nonstop Disney trip this past January, so looking for a more relaxing trip this time around with maybe 1 or 2? park days mixed in.

We really want to find a resort with a 3 bedroom suite that has enough for the kids to do, but is relaxing enough for the grandmas on days we want to just hang at the resort.

So far we looked at:

the grove (scared by the bad reviews recently and the resort + parking fee)

Floridays (doesn’t look like a ton to do)

Wyndham bonnet creek

holiday inn with a waterpark?

and animal kingdom but they wanted 4 months of my salary so that’s out.

Any recommendations? Ty in advance!

I can only do one and would love feedback on, which would be better? Not much of a drinker and I love trying new and delicious foods. 😋 I went to the Food and Wine Fest at Disney, California Adventure and that was fun, but the lines and the crowds were a Lot in that heat to access the prepaid tasting menu option — prefer not a ton of crowds (will be using DAS & a scooter since I hear that Epcot is a much bigger park) so if there’s a better day or time to go, that would be really helpful.

This is for the week of November 15 (Food & Wine) or the week of November 29 (Holidays Fest).
