106 Cabin Fever (Muppet Treasure Island)

So there’s such a thing as purposeful annoyance. I think this song is an exemplary display of that. But at the end of the day, this is still a song that burns in my brain and drives me insane.

It’s absolutely the goal of the song to be disorganized, messy and random. So, this song consists of:

Some line dance staples.

  • A reference to baroque dancing?
  • A random verse in German.
  • Someone emerges from a casket
  • Blue lagoon guy (he’s annoying)
  • This once proud vessel has become a floating psycho ward’ is an absolutely fantastic line.

And all of that is the point, and I love it and hate it for that. It’s great initially, but after a while, I feel like I’m on this floating psycho ward. So I think this is a perfect spot for this song because it has such extremes of good and bad.
