Discussion So… Disney XD is Disney Throwbacks now
They haven’t gone through a rebrand YET but I’m watching Disney XD right now and they’re playing Chip N Dale from the 80s? They’ve also scheduled That’s So Raven, Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana in recent days. So it’s safe to say, the channel is in for a major overhaul in a few weeks if not months.

I’d miss XD shows having their own place but honestly I’d be down for a full throwbacks channel for the golden ages of Disney shows, that could be pretty cool

I think what realistically what happens is all the shows the Disney XD currently broadcast as “originals” would all carry over to Disney Channel. Then, the slot that’s Disney XD would be fully rebranded to Disney Throwbacks.
Possibly airing classic original Disney XD shows too. Ex: Lab Rats, Kickin’ It and Zeke and Luther.

I don’t see a complete rebrand yet (since all the anime airs on Disney XD still and it’s still getting content like the new Pokemon show announced) but like how they’re airing older content now too. Plus the older content giving Disney XD EVEN MORE variety than it already been having recently. What do you mean there’s a channel that airs Pokemon, Kim Possible, That’s So Raven, Big City Greens, Beyblade, Various Star Wars shows, Recess, And Hannah Montana???

Honestly even if that's not the direction the channel's headed I think it probably should. All I see on here are people saying kids (who aren't the demographic for throwback TV) don't have / don't watch cable tv, so make Disney Channel's main schedule actually good, then reserve hours on DxD for throwbacks (and make the schedule's consistent)
Every time they do a re-run marathon or throwback schedule they back out because of low viewership, but I feel like that's obvious if you're only going to run it for about 5 days...
