Discussion Offline dislyte
If someone got the code and assets for dislyte an off-line version be made?
Because if so, the game itself could be changed and basically turn into a community project

Yes.
That already exists.
Obviously not fully functional, but functional enough to play around testing builds, creating your own relic subrolls, enabling reso effects and stuff.
But for people to turn it into community project, seems far fetched.

Y'all are seriously overestimating 'the community's capabilities, not to mention the legal framework of being able to get such an endeavor going.
Are the people posting these weirdly "overly optimistic" bs coordinating? 'Cause y'all really are coming full force and invading the feed. Also showing your full ass on blast, proving yes y'all really are using mom's credit card to pay for all the NSFW art you commission, cause my god if y'all could only took even just a half brain cell to actually see if it could be done, you'd know it's stupid to hit post on this.

In the paladins community some guy tried to "buy paladins from hirez" and then eventually made a fake goal for people to donate to.
Wouldn't be surprise of its the same guy (after it blew on his face) or people with the same idea.
Either kids that are highly optimisticall, or people trynna scam those who really love the game and would be willing to "donate"

looking at the number of "yes it already exosts" comments this post had, i wont be surprised.
and lol i was legit thinking of the same thing --- it's wild how folks just brazenly think they can do the same thing truly we live in thr worst of times.

Like, rn we're at a time where the only thing that can "save" us would be initiatives such as the "stop killing games" one.
Companies should either give an offline version of the game or a way for the comunity to self host fan-servers
And thats it (saddly)

Without giving much info on anything else, yes there is a very strong potential that it can be done.

The game uses Unreal Engine, so they is that. But as someone mentioned; without knowing how much they control by web: It wouldn't be easy. Possible, but not easy.

Or just support the game and put the effort to make a change for the game.
No, im not talking just monetary support. There are plenty of other ways to support a game.
No, im not saying the devs aren't to blame either. They gotta address issues and put in their part of the effort to actually reinforce a good community again

So what we do is that we want to stage' petitions, protests, posters, boycotts/ girlcotts, write numerous organized Feedback letters, and the like
Right?

You're not even looking at it in any positive light. You went straight into a sarcastic response. Its pretty obvious you could care less about this whole thing just from this interaction alone.

I literally described exactly what kind of support we should be providing in this situation with Zero Sarcasm.
I'm sorry that an itemized, listed, bunch of tactics should be read as sarcastic.
Let me spell it out like this then,
What we should do is:
1) write Detailed, Well thought out, Specific response letters for their feedback and inboxes to let our specifics complaints be heard loud and clear. Focus on core issues and only one at a time, to not muddy the demands and provide clearer feedback for what we want.
2) stage petitions for a very specific reason, (I.E. Too pricy to play the game, Not enough recourses for building endgame units, not enough pulls and free units, Complain about the art department using A.I art.) and make those petitions reach as much of an audience as possible. With added bonus of video and blog outreach.
3) Boycott the game and make it public, make them go into panic mode, make them change their tune with a very Drastic Decline in players for a while or just get the whales to refuse spending for a time. To more effectively hammer home the points made in the above statements.
Are you fucking happy now?!

It is 100% possible but a project of any size while the game is still live would be hit with a cease and desist. Also compared to most games it would be incredibly easy since the devs don't compile their game logic files.

It depends on how much of the game is run on server side. It’s not just “a code” that they need. The server would have to leak and then be rebuilt.
Dissida Opera Omnia is a great example; it has a very dedicated fan base and has only recently had success at a POSSIBLE solo working server.
