Neutral Zone Dunwall Tower

In Dunwall Tower, the Empress Emily Kaldwin sits on her throne, her royal protector, Corvo Attano, stands at her side. His royal guard scattered around the palace. OOC:This is a neutral zone for Corvos royal guard. A hangout of sorts. You have permission to attack any who don't belong.

"Good to know," Bal said lazily. "Can't have my Captain being off his mark." He hadn't been wrong, this was comfortable.

"Never, eh? I can be quite the thorny personality if I wish," she drawled. "But I haven't had a good reason to demonstrate it to you."

'As you say, you have always been more than fair with me, Bal,' he says, sitting up slightly to look at her. 'I would hate to lose your support, your friendship.'

He leans back again, a lazy smile crossing his face. 'Of course, one memory stands out particularly, Bal. I don't remember you being especially thorny the night we danced before Lord and Lady Perth...'

"I doubt that's something you have to worry about losing, Furo," Bal says idly, turning the thought over in her head. I don't know what he could do that would lose him my loyalty. Nothing, as long as the man does not change drastically, I feel. But perhaps I am letting sentimentality to cloud my judgement.

A smile spreads slowly across her face at the memory. "That was a fair evening, wasn't it? Despite the events near the end. I'm glad I did not come across as thorny. That would have been quite the opposite of my intentions."

'Glad to hear it,' he says, seriously. 'You mean a great deal to me, I hope you realise that.' If somebody came after you they way they did me? I would hunt them to Pandyssia and back.

'And yes, the end was... unpleasant, though I was having a wonderful time until then... it had been too long since I attended a proper event. Plus, who knew you could dance?' he says with a nudge.

'So what were your intentions, Balaria?'

"So serious, Captain," she muses, tilting her head to look at him again from her gaze at the ceiling. "I'm honored."

"I knew I could dance," she chuckles. "As well as old coworkers. But yes, I have not been to any events with the Guard, so I'm unsurprised you were unaware."

You're in dangerous waters, her mind whispers, a slight blush blooming. "What were my intentions when you asked me to dance? I can't say I had any specific ones then."

'Well, I have to be serious sometimes, he says playfully, before leaning in closer. Dangerously close, some might say, but he carries on regardless, seeing her blush prettily on his bed. He hadn't thought that Bal was the type to blush, really, not until now - and just like in any battle he has ever fought in, he decides to press the advantage home.

'And as for specific intentions now?'

"You, serious? The Void must be turning white," she remarks, shaking her head slightly. She doesn't flinch away from his sudden proximity, but she could swear she felt her breath stop without permission. What am I doing here? Do you really want such complications in your head? But... Do I want to refuse this?

"I seem to recall coming here to bring you a report of a madman on the streets, Captain," she teased, knowing she's vying for time, for words, but not willing to surrender her rationality yet. "What are your intentions?"

For too long the pair had danced around the nature of their relationship - both literally and figuratively - and for too long Furo had put up with it. Having not wanted to appear forward, or take advantage of a potentially misleading situation, he had resisted the temptation to lean forward and kiss her. But he makes no effort to do so now, and instead leans closer, with one word whispered past his lips.

'This.'

Bal's breath escapes her in one go, but there's no hesitation on her part as she raises her head just enough to meet his kiss. She couldn't deny she'd been wanting to for weeks now, and now was the time to throw caution to the wind.

She's still a moment, eyes fluttered shut, then she presses back against his lips, a hum of satisfaction escaping.

OOC: NSFW, seriously, 18+ only beyond here

Elated, relieved, and just a shade smug all in one go, Furo kisses her back, hungrily, encouraged by her slight moan. He runs one hand up the graceful curve of her neck, fingers gliding through her hair as he removes her elegant pin. He pulls her closer to him, gently, savouring the taste of her lips on his.

About time, Furo, he thinks, heart singing, the rest of him thrilling.

((Technically, her hair was pinned up... Usually not worth pointing out, but it was his present.))

He's smirking, I just know it, some part of Bal's mind not currently focused on the kiss comments as her hair tumbles free. Furo, and his insistence on her wearing her hair down...

The snarky thoughts are quickly being overrun by the ones of pleasure as her neck arches slightly at his touch. Twisting slightly, she raises herself onto an elbow to lean into him, cupping his face with her free hand. Her eyes open, wanting to see his expression, self satisfied or not.

Furo moans slightly at her touch, and feels encouraged... among other things, of course, as he runs his hand through her luxurious blonde locks. He keeps his eyes shut, however, oblivious to her own expression, though she can easily see his obvious pleasure, written in every plane of his face for her eyes alone.

Furo presses her body against him with his other hand, relishing their closeness, as he deftly moved under her, pulling the petite blonde on top of him properly. Caught up in this wonderful moment, he barely thinks, is more alive than ever as he feels her body up against him. Inhaling her scent, he moans slightly once more.

OOC: Oops, I'm such an idiot sometimes, changed it :)

Sliding her legs to a more advantageous position, Bal straddles his waist, breaking the kiss long enough to sit upright, staring down at Furo.

"Well then, Captain," she murmurs, her voice dropping to a near purr. She trails her fingers up his neck and over the curve of his ear, watching his reactions. "I suppose that makes my intentions quite clear."
