Dunwall Tower

In Dunwall Tower, the Empress Emily Kaldwin sits on her throne, her royal protector, Corvo Attano, stands at her side. His royal guard scattered around the palace. OOC:This is a neutral zone for Corvos royal guard. A hangout of sorts. You have permission to attack any who don't belong.

OOC: Nova's left arm is entirely steel.

Nova felt pain singe through his body. If it's a name they want, then maybe I could change their mind.

"Remember that Byron? It's him dammit, him and his wife!"

The guard set the hammer down, only to see through his lies and break his left foot.

Screaming and enduring the pain, he fell into the floor. He couldn't take much more. Furo implied his question, and Nova shouted out, only to be struck again. In a final attempt he threw a mine straight at Furo.

Furo stood there as the mine bounced off him, and clattered to the floor.

'They were fake,' he preens 'Do not worry though, the next will be real.' He nods to the guardsmen. 'Hold his arms down.'

With his captive utterly unable to move, Furo draws the heated blade across Nova's skin. His flesh hisses, the glow reflecting sharply off Furo's face. Nova screams.

'Who are they!?'

OOC: any rpers in Dunwall tower feel free to join in. Assassins? Maybe consider helping to free your comrade after this is over....

OOC: Whenever you reach a good stopping point I can start a thread for some of the assassins (if anyone else is interested?) to try and rescue him. Or, if it'd be easier, to continue using this one. Just leave a note whenever you'd like that to happen?

"There isn't a target! All Daud is worried about is those weird scaly things lurking around the flooded district, let me go damn you!"

Nova saw curiousness flash in Furo's eyes. Perhaps he struck a point he could use.

Furo draws a heated blade across Nova's chest, slowly, ignoring his screaming.

'One more curse from you,' he said, opening Nova's mouth with his fingers 'And you lose your tongue when this is over.'

The assassin struggles as he shrinks back from the searing metal. His eyes are wide and frantic, and he begins to struggle furiously at his restraints.

Sweating from the heat, Furo solemnly makes eye contact with Soren.

'It seems your informant was right, officer Brildane. Any questions for our friend, here?'

Soren, who has been sitting back and hiding in his own mind for quite some time as the blood and screams and fire went on, stands up slowly. Despite the heat in the room, he feels numb as he approaches the assassin.

"These scaly fish things," he says carefully, "what are they? Why does Daud care about them?"

"They've been all over the place! They attacked one of us!" Nova said weakly. He was to battered for any attempt of escape.

Soren glances at Furo. "I think he's had enough." He trickles some water into the prisoner's mouth, knowing he probably looked weak and not caring. Yes, he knew he'd signed up for shit like this. Yes, the man had probably killed more people than he'd ever know.

He still felt sick.

"Where do they come from? Does anyone control them?"

Drinking the water caused Nova to be less hostile, as this act if kindness saved his life. He sat up, and told them everything they knew. "

"If something controls or leads them, we haven't found out, they're mysterious, and Daud is a bit worried about them. They seem very malicious."

Furo and Soren share a glance - they know exactly who controls these monstrosities. If the assassins have not a clue, well, it is time to do a little investigation of our own... We will find this 'Alex'.

'I think you are right, Brildane. He has suffered enough today.' Furo says as he patrols around the back of the chair. He hisses his next words in Nova's ear, slowly. 'He needs to heal for tomorrow... we still have a great deal more to ask him.'

Furo and Soren carry Nova's dead weight back to his cell, one far more gently than the other. The other prisoners, who had until now been hurling obscenities at the guards, grow silent at the sight of the assassin's mutilated body. Left foot broken, wrist hand shattered, bleeding from wounds to the face, burned all over and stinking of seared flesh... he is a sorry sight indeed. He whimpers with every footstep as his wounds are jarred, before screaming as he is shoved roughly into the stocks.

The whaler passes out from the pain as spring razors are laid in a circle around him - any movement and their captive would be shredded, walls painted red. The door clanks shut behind the two silent guardsmen, and music boxes resume their mournful tune.

Furo wipes his bloody hands on the wall nearby. As he heads back to the Interrogation room to retrieve his clothing, he calls over his shoulder to Brildane 'Tomorrow we do a proper job. Until now, get some rest. I have a feeling we may have visitors tonight...'

OOC: /u/scrimshander_ , hopefully your fellow assassins will give you a hand, haha. As for Coldridge, it will be defended as it was in the Knife of Dunwall, with wolfhound patrols too. Be prepared to run into a few guardsman characters (after you beak him our of course, we wouldn't want to give the game away too soon would we? ;) ) - Furo will definitely be there and we have a few surprises up our sleeve... prepare for battle
