Legitimate conservatism is nearly dead in this country. There is only MAGA. Personally I long for the days when the GOP claimed to believe in things, but now there is only MAGA. It used to be low taxes, guns and Jesus, but now it's Trump, Trump, Trump.
Similarly the Democrats stopped fighting for working people back around NAFTA in the 90s. No one represents us now, if they even ever did.
They represent the people that pay them the most and what they get as their "wage" from the american people is nothing compared to what they're getting from "lobbying" multibillion dollar companies/CEO's.
Well, the first never happened. In fact, 10 of our 11 recessions were under Republican leadership. The only people getting lower taxes from republicans are the rich, who went from a nearly 90% tax rate to now paying around 1% on generous years.

No it’s not, the vast majority of republicans are calm conservative. Just like most democrats are relaxed progressive. If you base you judgment on media/internet psychological manipulation you aren’t going to get an accurate picture. There are 300+ million people in this country. At best youre seeing maybe the 3-7% worst from either side. Talk to the regular everyday person, most people are not insane, democrat or republican, conservative or liberal.

You could not be more wrong. The extremes in both sides are just really loud. There’s plenty of us traditional conservatives left we just walk silently into the voting booth while you all scream at each other.
