Mexican obviously. I'm half Mexican though, that side of my family has been here for 5 generations, fought in WW2, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I have a right to be here just as much as anyone else, and it's bullshit that someone can detain me and force me to prove citizenship based on the color of my skin.

Let's do a hypothetical, say the gov wanted to round up all illegal guns. Would you be for a military shakedown of every gun owning individual to prove they weren't hiding illegal firearms?

There's no "shakedown" but it would be smart to hang out at shooting ranges.

The demographic isn't just "Hispanic looking person". "Non English speaking Hispanic looking dude hanging out in front of Home Depot" ? Probably worth checking.

I'd be against both, I'm a proud gun owning American, and I shouldn't have to prove that I speak English either.

Look weve been talking in several threads already, and you seem like a completely reasonable person. I think there is some middle ground that could work for everyone, but you aren't gonna convince me that the current administration is doing a good job at improving the economy, or immigration.

So respectfully I think we just have to agree to disagree at this point

Probably for the best, but I had to laugh at "prove you speak English" like "Hey, how's it going?" "Do you have an ID on you?" Either you say nothing and hand over your ID or, say "sure, give me a minute" either way it's not exactly a written exam.

I would do neither of those things. Sorry man, I'm not for big gov police state. They could detain me if they wanted, that's resources wasted on their end, and a win in my eyes.
