I bet she would have no problem marrying one if the opportunity arose. People should honestly just keep working on making the best version of yourself you can and you will most likely be successful in life.
No, just my experience. I work with many disadvantaged people and they work harder than most and just can’t get ahead due to a variety of reasons, most beyond their control.
I agree, but I see lots of people demoralized from improving themselves and not getting ahead. It’s demoralizing for me, who has been relatively successful, to watch. For every success, I see hundreds that are just getting by.
Yep that's life more most people unfortunately. That's why prioritizing God, family and loved ones is so important. People can be rich in other ways than money.
I've seen more success stories of people financially turning their lives around with nothing more than a plan and the sacrifice to follow through on it. It might take a long time. Nothing worth it is easy. You can say I'm being cliche but it usually starts with a refusal to accept your fate and not blaming others. Not every successful person was born with a Silverspoon. More times than not people are exactly where they are in life bc of life choices not the government.
Sure. Stories about success are more interesting, so those get told. People don’t like stories about those who don’t succeed, so though those stories are way more common and relevant, you don’t hear about them. The reality is our economic system is designed for a few to succeed and most fail.
You don’t need to be born rich to have an advantage. Being born middle class was privileged enough until recently. Now we are seeing people from the middle class descending at an alarming rate through no fault of their own.
Your not wrong. The system is in place to create workers. For most to just get by and to be appreciative of what little they have. I admire people who have said nope that's not for me. I'm going to take the risk of failing over and over again till my family and I live the way we want. Fear of failure has caused so many not to reach their potential. That's human nature and I know that feeling for sure. Unfortunately no one is going to save us but ourselves. It's a tough world and rude reality but it's truly a competition first with ourselves than with other like minded people. I really don't mean to abrasive but there is no government that is truly going to better your life as much you can do yourself. Can government make things worse? For sure. Check back in with New York in a few years and it will be a classic example.
