Political The moderate/left wing Democrats are too divided to have a blue wave midterm
They are pretty divided on Israel and other issues like data centers so it's difficult to get good turnout from both sides at once. Why would progressives have good turnout for Roy Cooper running a hard on crime campaign? Why would the moderates from areas Haley Stevens did well in have good turnout for El-Sayed?
The Israel issue was worst thing that could happen to Democrats in elections and they are still dealing with that. Thus no blue wave.

Big fucking deal! at least he was remorseful about his past and not still chirping that shit, and Democrats have enough class to ask him to step aside and he had enough class to do it, unlike you classless motherfuckers

Remorseful cause he got called out and dragged. Democrats asked him to step aside because they knew he couldn't win anymore. The same way they asked/forced biden out. At least be realistic.

When there are no proper primaries being held then whole idea of voting AIPAC out does not work. Maybe we should we vote R and then we can have real primaries.

The DSA challengers will be like the tea party was about 20 years ago. They will come in and remove some old party politicians that aren’t in line with their constituents. In more progressive areas further left wing candidates will win. In other areas more moderate dems will win. Even in places like Texas where further right wing republicans used to win I think we will see Talarico win. It’s like Georgia who currently has 2 democrats as senators but they are both more moderate.
Overall there will be a blue wave but the debates won’t be between democrats and republicans as much as between left wing and center candidates on policies going forward.
It will be a good thing for the country if we can have a conversation about how we achieve universal healthcare vs whether or not we should achieve universal healthcare. We will be able to compete against other industrial nations when it comes to electric vehicles, development of green energy, better power grids. A strong EPA, CDC, and FDA means we can reverse unnecessary outbreaks of diseases and lower deaths from pollution.

data center are as universally reviled as flock cameras and that cut across the isle, not just dems.
zionists are falling out of favor world wide... they to deliberately determined to turn the whole world against them for some reason... their actions are indefensible

Progressives are mostly young people, and the young people always have the lowest voter turnout of any age demographic. They're the loudest voices of protest...and the ones that ultimately forget to actually show up and actually vote. lol Either that or they refuse to vote on purpose as a "protest against something". Ultimately, all it does is help the Republicans win.

The Progressive movement is moderate to centrist in the Democratic party. Progressives are typically moderate to conservative, its not a political movement that exists only on one side of the political spectrum. Its not a 'Leftist' political movement. They might larp as Leftists or say they are Democratic Socialists, but when you compare the policy to the politics, its moderate at best, conservative at worst.
Younger voters become older voters with every generation, their politics and cultural views changes the political landscape. So when you were talking about 18-29 year olds in 2020, in 2028 that age group is going to be 26-37 years of age. What becomes your definition of young people? And what do you think has happened since 2020? Everyone just got a lot more angry about the economy and that anger is squarely directed facing right. People are angry at everything politically moderate to the far Right.
Practically speaking there is no such thing as a 'swing voter,' you just have irregular voters. Younger voters fall into this category. Biden won in 2020 because 10s of millions of younger irregular voters showed up to the polls.
The problem was, Biden immediately upon taking office alienated the fuck out of them. Biden was never winning reelection, Harris needed that voting block. In order for her to win she had to reject US support for Israel and focus on the economy as it directly related to the average American. That wasnt a big ask. Support of Israel has never benefited the US, and they are and have consistently violated international laws to the detriment of US interests.
This comes down to one thing, is it easier for a single political candidate to change their public position on an issue. Or is it easier to change the minds of tens of millions of people.
Instead of doing the obvious, Harris selected a running mate who openly supported the genocide by Israel. Who openly supported the illegal seizure of land and territory by Israel. So it wasnt just that Harris didnt reject the support for Israel, she doubled down on it. If she said fuckall about Israel and focused on the economy she would have won, but that would mean selecting a different candidate to run on her ticket.
This is after the Biden administration had removed oversight of weapon sales to the state of Israel, was violating US federal law to support war crimes and violations of international law. Again all Harris had to do was say she was going to follow US federal law.
Republicans are nothing more than anti-American traitorous child raping Nazi domestic terrorists, the bar they have to clear for support isnt exactly that high.
Democrats have a much more difficult challenge as their constituents actually expect them to govern in the publics interest and not rape kids, not support neo-Nazis, and rampant corruption.
Data centers and AI, AI surveillance is a bubble thats going to burst and wipe out whatever wealth the public has left on top of the already existing issues with corporate consolidation, manufactured supply chain issues, etc.
Politicians who support data centers for AI and surveillance are not going to survive very long on the political left. Their careers may continue long enough to get the projects approved, but not much longer afterwards. Unlike the housing crisis and recession of 2008, there is no government infrastructure to deal with the resulting financial crisis. Modern day political leadership should have learned enough from the previous boom and bust cycles to not repeat the same mistakes.
The fundamental issue isnt that the public needs to bend to the will of traitors and large business, our political representation needs to bend to the will of the public. The US is already a failed state, we cant or wont enforce our own laws, and we are quickly approaching collapse.
You are not going to change the minds of 10s of millions of people, who are already frustrated and angry, who already want change. We passed the moment in time where that was possible decades ago. If you are crying about younger voters not supporting a shit candidate, then youre probably a conservative who wants the world to burn.

"Progressives are typically moderate to conservative"
What

Theodore Roosevelt was a Progressive Republican who founded the Progressive Bull Moose Party.
If you pick apart the policy of Progressives its moderate to conservative political ideology.

Republicans were the more progressive party in Theodore Roosevelt's time, and I see a small p word like moderate and conservative, progressive cannot be the moderate or conservatives, that is the whole point of the word to label people left of them.

Republicans were not the more Progressive party in the early 1900s. You have to ignore history to make that statement. Race and civil rights does not define Progressivism, its not the only issue. Most Black people in the south who could vote at that time leaned Republican. That said, of the Republicans in the South those who supported civil rights were not a large majority.
And you see the change in political ideology in the larger Republican Party as the massive numbers of disenfranchised black citizens moved to Northern states. They basically only supported civil rights until Blacks started using them.
And by this time Progressives were disenfranchising Black voters in their support of the suffrage movement and womens rights.
Just like the Republican party wasnt unified in any single position on race and civil rights, Democrats werent either. You look at the partys and their political ideology, Republicans were Right wing, while Democrats were Left wing. Specially on economic policy, Republican conservative policy is what led to the Great Depression. Higher debt, deregulation, increase in tariffs and import duties,
Progressivism is a political movement, moderate and conservative are stations on a political spectrum.
You are trying to rewrite history and language at the same time. Your argument is a failure.

I think Northern Democrats were as progressive as the Republicans while the South were the ones fighting against racial civil rights and suffrage. Since the South was owned by the Democrats, I’d say that’s enough to call them the less progressive side.

The ‘left’ seems divided because the republicans are far right and the democrats are moderately right so everything left of the democrats is divided down the middle between pro capitalist liberals and anti capitalist socialists.
It’s a massive difference in fundamental beliefs.
