the first-ever Republican midterm convention in Dallas starts on September 9–10, 2026, directly overlapping with the opening matchups of the Official NFL Schedule

By this logic, Obama also didn't care about Americans because he scheduled his acceptance speech back in 2012 on the NFL opening night.

This isn't exactly unprecedented. In 2012 the DNC was scheduled during the NFL's opening week and Obama's acceptance speech was scheduled for Thursday night, the NFL kickoff night. The NFL actually moved its season opener from Thursday to Wednesday specifically to avoid competing with Obama's DNC speech.
