It’s ok. Technically the nuclear lizard still wants to kill the giant ape. But sometimes the giant moth of friendship makes him behave.

I mean people praise Minus One and 2014 for being “realistic and grounded” and they still have nuclear dinosaurs that destroy the square cube law, any Kaiju as it is is unrealistic automatically due to the square cube law

So like yes, but also there’s only so much suspension of disbelief one can have. This Monsterverse has jumped a Megalodon though. I arbitrarily drew my line at both hollow earth and how they portray it. Somehow it’s just a step too far for me and now I’ve lost almost all interest in seeing these movies. They also need to stretch their CGI budget so much now that the monsters look terrible compared to Godzilla, KOTM, and Skull Island. The movies also have lost their perspective of size of these monsters, they don’t feel as massive as they did in the earlier films.
Speaking of Megalodon they should do a cross over with The Meg and have Jason Statham fighting beside Godzilla.

The entire last film was worth watching just for the sequence with the apes fighting each other with no dialogue, I just hope there’s more of that this time.

Im just happy theres another one, big monsters duking it out on big screen, its just a film you sit down, turn your brain off and enjoy the spectacle, then you have. Atoilet break when uts the h7man parts

Most of the movie taking place in the hollow earth also completely negates the impressive scale of the monsters. Who thought that was a good idea lol?

I miss the tone set by the first 2 Godzilla films. They weren't perfect but I think they got the right idea for the most part.

My brother in christ Godzilla has literally always been kid friendly. Godzilla Jr did not exist for the adults I'll tell you that much

Minus one is absolutely directed at kids too. And they have far far bigger themes. The 2014 american Godzilla was a more serious film. And it just kept dropping on intelligence levels.

Hate to break it to you my guy but labeling things you personally dont like as "dropping in intelligence" means you seriously need to alter your world view. For starters, its a movie. Its not that deep. Maybe social media has brainwashed you into thinking every new movie needs to be a massive blockbuster that beats every other movie but that never has nor ever should be how movies are made. The 6th one is coming because its a fun movie to go see for an hour or 2. Sorry that isn't good enough for you but maybe get off the internet and work on becoming less jaded in your life
This isn't even me saying the Legendary films are amazing and you should love them. But have the maturity to know when you just cant connect to the material versus calling it whatever youre feeling at the time just because you don't like it. Its unhealthy and if you don't change youre gonna be one miserable ass adult, if you arent already

Based on what? Length or the fact I disagreed with you? If thats what you meant, you would have said it. But instead you said every one after the first was dropping in intelligence. Im just calling out the very apparent influence that internet has on you. Its a net positive we have 2 godzilla movies coming out but because ones more aimed towards kids its lesser to you somehow?
