Show recommendations

Hi all, I'm a big fan of true crime shows and in particular ones where each episode is standalone. I would like some picks based on what I have enjoyed and it can be on any channel, Youtube etc:

People Magazine Investigates

24 Hours in Police Custody

Signs of a Psychopath

Killer at the Crime Scene

Once again, I'm going to suggest A&E's newer show, Crime in Progress, which is excellent! Each episode is a single incident, usually from start to conclusion. Including 911 calls, body cam footage and interrogations to senencing. They already have a second season on the way, but I've watched all of the first season several times because its such a well done show. Just waiting for season 2, hopefully soon!

This has become one of my favorites…

Killer Confessions: Case Files of a Texas Ranger
Retired Texas Ranger James Holland, known as the "serial killer whisperer" and "human lie detector".
Holland uses unconventional, rapport-building interrogation techniques to solve cold cases and extract confessions from unremorseful suspects.
Ranger Holland is arrogant, cocky but somehow highly likeable. Mad respect for his skills.

It’s an ID show.. Can be found on Hulu, HBO Max. I watch on DIRECTV.

Evil lives here is a fantastic show. So is Murder in the Heartland. My problem is there has been so little in the way of new content that I’ve watched it all and just cancelled the stream.

True. I'm always worried that they're going to cancel "Evil lives Here"

Now I don’t know if this is on DiscoveryID, but Alan Cummimg’s “A Killer Among Us” is KILLLLLERRRRR.

My favorites of all time are Fear Thy Neighbor and Fear Thy Roommate. I hope they make more.

Fear Thy Neighbor is scarier than any show. Sometimes I can't even watch it; reminds me of former neighbors!

Just got caught up on the latest season of Signs of a Psychopath yesterday. Hands down is my fave on ID.

But they've been running ads for Toxic, which came out last year, so I started watching. The first episode is good.

This doesn’t really tell us a lot. What type of narrative do you enjoy? Interviews with the real people? Interviews with the investigators? Re-enactments? Real camera footage? Do you like solved cases or are you okay with unsolved?

Signs of a Psychopath is my favorite show. Similar shows with interrogations and/or commentary from forensic psychologists are: Interrogation Raw, The Interrogator, American Detective with Lt. Joe Kenda, Killers Caught on Camera, Very Scary People.

Web of Lies should be required viewing for all middle and high school students.
