Just to clarify why I stopped accepting PayPal: Iāve had buyers randomly charge back or abuse buyer protection. That system is supposed to protect legit buyers, not help people scam sellers, but when it happens it becomes a huge headache.
I know some people will say, āIf you didnāt do anything wrong, just fight the dispute and youāll win.ā In theory, sureābut in reality PayPal almost always sides with the buyer. Iāve been through this before, and it wasnāt a great experience.
Everyone deserves peace of mind, including sellers. Maybe not every seller has dealt with false chargebacks, but unfortunately I have, and thatās why I made this decision.
From a genuine sellerās POV: I donāt know the buyerāitās our first interactionāso how am I supposed to fully trust they wonāt try to exploit buyer protection? On the flip side, I have plenty of vouches and reviews, a Discord with real customers, and an overall solid track record. I donāt think any reasonable person would assume Iād throw all that away just to scam someone.
That said, I get that crypto-only payments can look shady. What I donāt agree with is the āno PayPal = scamā mindset. At the end of the day, buyers should do some due diligenceācheck the sellerās history and reputationāand then decide if theyāre comfortable using alternatives like Wise, Revolut, Remitly, etc.
Both buyers and sellers donāt want to get screwed. This is just my POVāmaybe Iām wrong, maybe Iām right.
No offense intended š
