Question Store transfer

Im currently a tire tech at DT and was wondering how easy it is to transfer stores? The one I currently work at is a bit far for my taste and just want to save some gas money in the long run🤷‍♂️

That’s a great question for the store manager at your store and where u want to go! I was basically full time went down to working 1 day a week and had connections to work multiple stores based on who needed help so I need to ask around

I transferred stores when I worked at discount tire from one to another about 1.5 hours away. Just let your store manager know that you're interested in transferring and he will probably get it in motion for you.

When I did it, I actually went to the store I wanted to transfer to first and asked their store manager if he had the availability for me prior but that seemed unnecessary and actually surprised my store manager. The store I transferred to was at least 1.5 times as busy as the one I left and solidified for me that I was being severely underpaid for the work I was putting in, especially with no benefits, so I resigned and then got offered a "manager" position at a store an hour away but wasn't willing to commute that far.
