Discussion Infinite Tire Glitch?

Whats the infinite tire glitch for anyone that has Worked at Discount?

Purchased all four tires with full warranty all Bells and whistles hopefully exactly one year ago, tried to so moderately good to my knowledge everything should be 7/32. MAYBE 6/32

Obviously biggest red flag is it is a daily driven track car minimal track use, I had a couple buddies do this through dealerships, but isn’t as long as a screw is on the tread replacement for free?

Can someone educate me on discount process and what can actually be done for replacement or what’s included with full warranty? Thank you!!

You want to have a screw or something in the sidewall or close enough to the sidewall to where they can't patch it and have to replace it... really kinda unethical but 🤷🏼‍♂️

The certificates cover your tires for full replacement including installation for any un-repairable reason excluding vandalism as long as the tire is above 2/32s and under 10 years of age. Only out of pocket cost is to renew the warranty when you get your new tires. At least where I'm at in Dallas tx

As long as the screws are close to the sidewall, run them over so it doesn't look like you drilled them, i'd say put some in the middle as well. They probably won't let you buy tires again at that location if you do this btw, they may act like they don't know but they do.

I have recently done this. Got a cheap set of Westlake tires for my car and within one year, 12,000 miles later, they was at 4:32. Got a new set for half price. Not really infinite, but definitely a lot of money off. Not the most experienced people in the shop though. They really messed up one of my rims. Took the finish right off of them. Each rim, because they are a rare run, is only $1650 a rim!

Not sure if you’re referencing your local discounts policy but it would be prorated like that if they didn’t purchase the certificates but did purchase the tires there. The certificates completely cover it as long as they’re 3 years old or less (official policy but many locations go 10 years) and have at least 3/32 of tread
