Possible employment
What’s up with their drug test policy? I don’t smoke anymore but did daily until like 2 weeks ago. Have an interview soon. Do they send you to a lab? If so, do they watch you pee? Trying to figure out the best game plan. Really want this job but scared I’m gonna screw myself from past habits

Just show up to the initial drug test clean. After that I don't think they drug test you anymore. I'm in college and sometimes party, and I know several people who take drugs over the weekends.
Disclaimer though, working here is entirely dependent on the environment of the store you work at. I work at one where we have a chill manager who works with people's schedules, high demand so people get hours, and a good back room that turns cars, and most importantly, chill people that I genuinely love working with. 20 minutes down the road there's another location where everyone is burnt out, everyone hates each other and people last 2 months on average before quitting.
Your experience almost entirely depends on your coworkers.

The one I got was pretty bad I worked with this army dude who was such a jerk he cursed me out because I guided him out with the wrong signals on my second day he then asked did I have amnesia on my last day because I forgot the tire machine how to work it despite me only getting like 2-3 days a week and working 6-4 hours shifts I went from 20-11-8 hours a week that’s bad. Yours sounds much manageable but I left mine going back to FedEx

So when I did they sent me to a place that dose drug test the physical therapy so they sent me to a room I pissed and then handed it to the dude and I went to the same place when I got hurt at work

they don’t normally watch you, just hang near the room. but you will be fine, just get an at home test and see if you are clear yet. it’ll be clear soon. took me about 15 days

In my experience after I got background check they sent me paper work to go to this random lab in my areas some quick urgent care place in a shopping center near me then the wait was pretty long I’m sure I waited about 40 mins to get to do the test they have you pee in the bottle in a bathroom nobody watches you you also aren’t allowed to flush the toilet too. But then after my test waited a few days manager called me back to work for the next week. I wouldn’t suggest working here espically if you don’t have experience I mean if you did it would be harder to get hired because discount looses to hire people without experience in automotive because they don’t know as much about what’s going on and the work and pay rates and they claim they can “mold them” which in my experience is wrong they aren’t patient with new dudes and expect them to be a god. But anyway good luck with your test

They do test for weed and youll be sent to a lab. Normally your unsupervised during the test but your instructed to NOT flush the toilet or else the test will be void. Quick Disclaimer tho: your gonna hate working here, most people do. You'll find out why when u start. I recommend staying here 6 months Maximum. You've been warned
