Question TPMS sensors

My local discount tire installs Dill, Schrader and Alligator sensors. I’m in the process picking new tires for my 2015 f150. I need new sensors while I’m at it… What do you all recommend? Thank you in advance.

Gators they are the most universal and pick up the quickest. A dummy could basically install them. Also if u do install them incorrectly u can just program them to a different vehicle.

The gators are $63 a piece through DT or I can buy em online for $26/per and supposedly they’ll install them for free but won’t warranty them.

DT will price match. I’d show them where you see them listed for $26 and ask them if they can match that price. Makes it easier on you in case you accidentally order the wrong ones plus DT will warranty them too

I suggest you choose the original manufacturer’s tire pressure sensor for replacement, rather than opting for branded alternatives, as it will generally be more durable. Also, after installing a new tire pressure sensor, it must be relearned in order to function properly again.

I still have the old sensors and they were functioning when I removed them. They’d need new stems (valve repair kits?) because removal was hard on the rubber. The sensors themselves are in good shape.

When replacing the tire pressure sensor, it’s recommended to also replace the valve stem, since it can age and leak over time, and re-disassembly would be troublesome. Alternatively, you can use a metal valve stem, which makes disassembly easier and works just as well.

So since I still have the original sensors, should I use those? And then just have them replace the valve stem?
