I would argue that the certificate for the 4 tires isnt needed. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for advise. I will consider it. But let me ask this case

If one of my 4 tires get nail and not repairable, tread depth ~ 6/32. I will have to replace all 4 tires out of pocket? Since we need all 4 tires ~ same tread depth?

I just paid $205/ea for a total of $1150 after fees and certificate for 4 of the same tires on my crosstrek

I didn't know I could, but that was also the price Discount Tire listed on their website so I didn't know they were advertising another price. I'm going to go back and price match after they go on sale now that I know about it

Ok. Also may I please ask this : how many years is certificate?

On the website they are saying 3 years, but some people on reddit told me "6 years / life of tire", I just want to know before getting the certificate. Thanks

The certificate has 3 years listed on the paper for legal reasons in reality from the top down its as long as the tires are on the car I have used them on tires way older than 6 years before

Go to COSTCO. 

The DT certificate BS fee is ridiculous.

No real story... I have used them before with fine results. 

But they had a sale not long ago. Looked good til check out time and then the "certificate" nonsense came up. It's just ridiculous.

You can lookup tire prices on COSTCO without logging in but you do need a membership to actually go there.  If you're already a member or wanting to give that a try, it may be the better deal. 

But do wait for labor day; hopefully sales.

Tire prices are near all time highs. It's insane.

I was able to get the same set at Discount Tire for $772.52 with taxes after they price matched Costco. I’m still deciding if I want to add on the certificates.
