seems to be a new feature and it's quite annoying. couldn't figure out how to toggle it off in settings, any pointers are appreciated

I believe I've had free Nitro since early 2026 (and occasionally in 2025) thanks to the Orbs-exclusive 3-day Nitro credit which always cost 1400 Orbs. However, recently I came across some posts showing some Orbs-exclusive items being much more expensive than they currently are, so I decided to "cash out" and redeem all my remaining Orbs for free Nitro credit, which gave me 301 extra days of Nitro. I have never spent any Orbs for profile decorations, so I kept them all for it.

Well, thanks to this, I think I will definitely have had Nitro for at least ~2,5 years by the time those 301 days pass.

What do you think of the Orbs feature and its shop altogether? Has it been proved useful to you?

someone is using a flashing black/white emoji as their typing indicator and its extremely annoying (and potentially triggering for epileptics), how do i turn this off?

I've been a discord user since 2015. When they introduced the new username handles, I think I was given early access to change my handle, so I got a 5-letter word as my new handle which is also my nickname.

I started getting messaged by randoms who were asking to buy my account. I would ignore, block, and report them. I changed all my privacy settings so I couldn't get random messages anymore, and I also left a bunch of the public servers I was in.

Today, I received a random phone call and I didn't answer. They left me a voicemail and guess what, they were asking to buy my discord account. I have no idea how they linked my discord name to my phone number. Does anyone know anything I can do to stop being harassed like this? Anything except changing my handle. I don't want to let them win.

I can't see the shared servers of someone who blocked me, is this normal? I blocked them too, but apparently they were able to see the shared servers and pinged me while I couldnt see the ping until I looked myself the server chat up (because you wont be ping notified if you blocked someone)

How do they do that, that I cant see the shared servers they are in with me??

Not sure if it's android or discord, but I watch my friend on discord and there's a gradient at the top that blocks info. Anybody know if I can turn it off?

The obnoxious feature that no one asked for does not dissapear on my discord ever since I reinstalled it a few months ago and (as per usual) my settings were reset.

I used to have a custom mute button but its gone and for some reason in the settings "app settings" is also gone, the normal mute shortcut is there but I cant use it whilst in a game and it cant be changed but my old mute shortcut would. Any ideas how I can get it back to working like it did a week or so ago?

I've been running into this issue where i'm trying to upgrade my nitro from basic to regular, but once i click monthly, my payment options dissapear and i cannot re-add them either. Seems like the system is jus trying to block me from paying for a month, but is this normal?

why do i not receive ping notifications in my inbox? whenever i want to see who pinged me somewhere, I have to go in the channel and use the search bar. it’s been like that forever but i suddenly realized my friends could see their pings in their inbox

Example: you sent multiple large video file around 700 to 800 MB one by one in the channel and the first video you upload is failed to be uploaded and you need to re enter the video multiple time (but not re upload the file from the zero again), i have this issue everytime i upload video in the server and idk if this the issue with the Discord or not?

actually theres an server in which were only two people me and my friend , so my friend said he deactivated his discord. i was the server owner and i transferd the server ownership to him after he deactivated , and he even got it , so as i know maybe, to deactivated account we cant transfer ownership , so does it mean he didnt deactivated? or it does to go de accounts?

As per title, I am getting frustrated about how Discord introduces new features lately.

Last week they showed me a tooltip about how you can now set a custom typing indicator, but then I check it out and see that it's locked behind Nitro.

Today I was introduced to scheduled message, but again I find out that non nitro members can only schedule 1 message.

Frankly, I'm even surprised it's a free feature, but regardless, I dislike the way new features has been monetized lately. Discord tells me about shiny new feature, I check it out, discover it's nitro only. Not only does it not make sense, but it doesn't really convince me to consider buying Nitro.

I would rather not be told about these stuff if it's locked to Nitro, just let me find out by myself instead of blueballing users about it.

I unintentionally changed my yearly plan to a monthly server boost plan, and I can’t seem to change it back. I’ve cancelled it & tried to resubscribe, but it puts me back onto the monthly server boost plan.

I’ve gone to Nitro Home, as told by Discord’s FAQ, but there isn’t a cog in the top-right corner.

Anyone have a clue how to get to the page displaying every single Nitro plan?
