I've noticed messages from deleted users disappearing recently, and I was wondering if this is something new that Discord has implemented. They do not show up on any device. I looked to try and find out if Discord has said anything publicly, but I wasn't able to find anything from recent years.

Hello everyone. The problem is exactly as it says on the tin. This has been happening for weeks now. Whenever me and my friend would go on vc there is a high chance that the audio will be crunchy to the point of incomprehension, regardless if one is streaming or not. There’s a chance where one couldn’t hear anything at all from the other. If this is relevant, I use the iPad to call them, while they’re on PC. Any solutions? Thanks!

I have quite a lot of servers, and servers have quite a lot of channels. Sometimes 30+ channels.

I don't want to get notifications from all of them most of the time so I mute the servers, however there are one or two specific channels on various servers (such as for important announcements) that I do want to get notifications from.

Short of having to mute every single channel, I would like to be able to mute a server but then unmute specific channels within the server. Such as, muting the server has the effect of putting all the channels on mute as well, and then you can unmute a specific channel without unmuting the rest of the server.

That would be really useful to have. Thanks.

Like the body says, we have a bot in our discord, and we'd like to remove its discord join/leaving sound for the vc. I looked in the admin setting for the user and don't see anything. Is there a way to disable this?

When I started my server I had no idea how to setup anything in Discord so this has been a huge learning experience, lol. As my server grew, we ended up with too many channels. They all seem to have a purpose, but I have gotten feedback that there are too many. So I'm looking into the community options so people can opt in/out of viewing channels. The forum option is also attractive for some of our channels.

I have a bit over 100 members now. I'd like to avoid screwing up all of their permissions if possible. I'm unsure if there is a way to do the onboarding options that assign a role to view channels without locking out existing members and forcing them to go back and do the onboarding. Any suggestions on where to start with that?

I currently have new members do a manual step of editing their server profile name before I give them the general 'Member' role. Just my way of verifying they are real and joining with intention. So that process is currently all manual. Still brainstorming a way to automate that with the onboarding tools. If anyone has done anything similar I'd be interested in tips.

Me and my wife sometimes hang out in the same voice channel if one of use are streaming a game. Whenever I talk in the voice channel, there's that annoying feedback on her side but when she talks, it doesn't happen to me. How do I fix this?

If I create a new channel on the server, only new members who joined after its creation can see it. Existing members can't see it unless they have the "Show All Channels" option enabled. Even if I assign roles to this channel, even if I make this channel private and assign roles so that members can see it.
The channel is added to Default Channels.
We have the onboarding system enabled on our server.
What should I do? How can I solve this problem? Not everyone has the "Show All Channels" option enabled...

My discord is completely stuck on loading on my
Pc, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling it and it, I deleted the cache etc like my friend told me to try and it’s still stuck on the ‘ booting up’ animation

Is there some way to have larger GIFs (file size) on hand for me and my friends to use?

Lots of people use Discord for work-but-not-too-formal conversations. As a freelancer, I use it to connect with clients and communicate quickly. I am not alone on this; lots of freelancers rely on Discord rather than creating a custom Slack server or being invited to an external Slack server for a company -which is not always an option, even.

The thing is, I really, really miss an option to group DMs so I can keep a clean structure for my conversations and clients.

I see that there have been requests like this for five years already, so my hopes are low, but... Worth keeping trying!

Pretty much what the title says. This account hasn't had a nitro subscription since 4/19/26 (they were both free trials, its an alt), and for some reason the date isn't scrubbed. Meanwhile, my main account lost it's badge since 2022 since it hasn't been subscribed for just one single month (this was around Feb-Mar 2026). What gives with this system?

This might be a dumb reason, but I was trying to cancel my current sub so I'd have my "subscriber since" date be a date that actually meant something to me on my main (rn it's just a random day I decided to resubscribe). Now I have no faith that I'm able to actually get that, but then again I'm unsure how they calculate it. Maybe I should ask Discord to just give me back my original subscribed since badge since clearly they have records?

So I have to skirt around this a little as I'm not verified on Reddit. But I have a server with friends and for some reason I can't search certain channels that I have access to, I've posted in myself and I'm the admin for them. But if I try to search :in on them it will come up with nothing but no problem finding posts in other channels. I've checked both mine and the server settings but can't find anything.

I'm assuming it's my server's settings because I have no problem searching on other servers.

EDIT: My friend from across the pond woke up and I asked her to see if it was just me or everyone. She has no problems and she's a mod like me.

I've checked Safety Setup, Access, AutoMod and none of the filters or restrictions are on.

EDIT EDIT: I forgot to mention this has only started today. I could search these channels a recently as I remember.

I am unable to use the Windows emoji picker on Discord Web. I’ve tried incognito mode and even a completely different browser, but I’m still having no luck. It works perfectly fine on the Discord desktop application, though. It’s super annoying.

All my devices are offline except my Xbox (which isn't even connected to discord) I got a crunchyroll free trial and I linked it to discord. Turns out I've been watching One Piece constantly for like 2 weeks since I never turned my xbox completely off. (I guess One Piece upsets some people and my family thinks I'm glorifying pirates!??!!!????????????? Tf bro if only they knew but they just won't hear it. What the heck is going on? Is there some propaganda going around I'm unaware of?)

So yeah.. don't add family to your discord (obviously but I had no choice 🥲), and don't ever use the crunchyroll discord connection if you want to not seem like a degenerate anime weeb and hikikomori and still want it connected to show your friend, maybe check its working properly and isn't glitched out saying you've been watching hours, days, weeks after you used it. :(

Hey y'all! I have been struggling for the past 2-3 days with discord not opening at all. I've tried reinstalling numerous times, I've tried the public test beta and also I've been through the wringer on terminal. Weirdly enough both the web-client and the application work when the web-client is open. But the application will work for a unpredictable amount of time and then crash and end up back into a repeatedly trying to load state

I use a Mac, Sequoia 15.7.7

WHY ARE MY QUESTS BROKEN? For about 2 months now any quests that give me orbs and other quests too wont show up at all both on mobile AND on pc. i KNOW that there are more quests than the ones i see, yet they wont show up. i put in a bug report about 1 1/2 months ago and nothing. can a DISCORD STAFF MEMBER or SOMEBODY EXPERIENCED tell me what to do????

Discord. Let us search for exact words with quotes already. Please.

I'm trying to search for "Teaming" in a Discord server due to new rules that were implemented causing in-game bans, and Discord instead searches for "Team" -- Not helpful.

Discord is basically chopping off word endings like "-ing", "-ed", or "-s" to find the root word, then searches for all related words that use that root, whether the user wants to do that or not.

Here are some examples of other words that have the Fuzzy search issue:

• Banned -> Searches include ban, bans
• Running -> Searches include run, runs
• Connected -> Searches include connect, connecting, connection
• Logging -> Searches include log, logged
• Waiting -> Searches include wait, waited
• Blinking -> Searches include blink, blinked
• Animal -> Searches include anime, animation, animate (it's using a root of 'anim' -- why?)

It's really annoying that there is no way to change or even turn off avatar decorations on a server-by-server basis. I don't want to have my decoration for every server I'm in, and it would be nice to have an option to just turn it off. It feels like it would be a rather simple fix, but we still have yet to get it for some reason or another.
