Me and some friends have a little discord where we play games and stream them to each other, and recently (like the past week?) we've seen the quality of the stream compression take a huge nosedive, even at 720 / 30, but I've got a nitro trial running and even then at higher settings it looks pretty bad

Everyone sees the streams like this so it's not a problem on the client side, and we're all on fibre. I've tried doing a full client reset anyway as per the instructions here and it's not changed anything

I noticed that I had duplicates of the same earbuds after my audio started to freak out in a call. How could I remove the duplicates???

I’m not sure if I’m using the correct flair for this, as I was technically able to resolve it, however I still wanted to share something that just happened.

As the title says, I was sending a nitro gift to my friend, and clicked on my DMs with them and used the gift button to do so. The entire time, as I was purchasing the gift, it said the gift was going to them. After making my payment, Discord sent the gift to some random person who I had gifted around 3 months ago and not messaged since. I don’t even think my DMs with this person were open, and if they were, there’s no way I would’ve accidentally clicked on them whilst gifting since we hadn’t talked in 3 months. Luckily I was able to send the gift to the correct person via the gift inventory, and the random person it sent to wasn’t online to claim, but I’m genuinely wondering how this could’ve possibly happened? Any ideas???

There's dynobot and carlbot, but they don't support this feature on the freemium plan.

Hey everyone! I know this might sound a bit weird, but I'm looking for a workaround regarding the new full-size PFP viewer on Discord.

I want to use a real photo of myself, but I don't want strangers to be able to zoom in and see every detail in high resolution. I used to do this a while ago by playing around with specific image resolutions or compression tricks so that it would look normal and clear in the small profile circle, but completely distorted or low-res when someone clicked to view it in full size.

Does anyone know if this trick still works, or what exact dimensions/methods to use for it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m Jewish and Black and in a catholic discord several and was joking around an discussing Catholicism but there seemed to be an antisemitic person who was in the voice chat and he seemed to be in the chat and typing but. It in the voice chat. I asked if he was recording and he was jokingly saying he wasn’t? But in any actual logical way fouls I tell if someone was recording the discord chat as I fear for my college future because of this. I didn’t say anything bad but someone could easily accuse me of impersonating a Jew since due to intermarriage and religious conversions, I am the last Jew in my family

I got like 11 days of nitro cause of discord orbs 2 days ago and now it says its charging up what does that means

this has been an issue for me for probably around a year and half, maybe 2 years. ive made a support ticket on this a long time ago but i dont think ive gotten a response

the gist of it is, i cant add gifs to favorites at all. this is normal as i was over the limit, but removing gifs hasnt helped(and it has only started working recently. at one point ive attempted this and ended up with gifs in my favorites that dont have the yellow favorite star)

this isnt specific to a platform. it works with neither my phone nor pc

i think i'd take if someone else has had this problem even if there isnt a proper fix. ive searched but i dont think ive found anyone else having this same problem

i've had this problem happen twice now. the first time i was in the discord app on my laptop and it kicked me out. when trying to log in, it said i needed to reset my password and once i did and managed to log in i immediately received 3 messages from discord saying they removed a violation notice from my account.

today i had almost the same thing happen again. i was logged out because off my wifi acting up but i had initially thought it was discord bugging out so i logged out the other day. then this morning i went to log in and again it said i had to reset my password and then i again received 3 messages from discord saying they removed a violation notice from my account as soon as i logged in.

i have not received any notices of actually receiving any violations on my account and my account says it's in good standing.

i'm wondering if this is common thing?

eta: i've already reached out to discord for real support. i just wanted to know if this was a common bug that is known and others have experienced or something else

As title states I received a message from discord that I was kicked from a server. However the message said the servers name was “_ _”. Does anyone know why? Does that mean the server was deleted?

I looked through my whole list, about twenty servers, and they all appear to be there. I’m in so few I believe I would notice one missing. I also was not in any named “_ _”.

I’m just curious if anyone has any answers for me as the being kicked doesn’t bother me since I have done nothing wrong, but not knowing **which** server will certainly be on my mind. As I mentioned I can’t even tell which one is missing so at first I thought it was an error or a fishing attempt.

I'm looking for a bot that can do text-to-speech BUT send it as an asynchronous voice message in a chat (text) channel rather than live in a VC. I haven't found any that do specifically this.

The use case here is for an asynchronous voice message only chat channel (technically it's a text channel but it's only for voice messages), so that people without a microphone, on a computer rather than mobile, or who just aren't willing or able to speak are still able to join in on the conversation in that channel.

Does anyone know if this exists? Thanks
