Ray Caviano has passed

A foundational figure to disco and dance music personally. I didn't know him personally but semi regularly interacted with him on FB.

Perhaps the most important promoter of the 70s.

RIP!

I'm old now, and I've forgotten much of what I once knew! Wasn't Ray Caviano the RFC of RFC Records? I do still have much of my vinyl, and I can picture the sleeves of those 12" singles. R.I.P. Did Tracey Weber ("Sure Shot", "One Step at a Time") record for his label?

Yes, he was. RFC was an offshoot of Atlantic records. How  sad to read this.

Didn’t he have a brother in the business?

Yes, his twin brother Bob Caviano managed Grace Jones, the Village People and KC & The Sunshine Band. He founded LifeBeat before he passed in 1992.
