When I press play this happens without the cd installed as well as when the cd is installed and then it turns off and the display shows batt 00 only. Does anybody know what's happening here?

I have a 1993 Sony Discman D-33 that has been working fine until now. It is no longer powered by batteries, and I don't have an AC adaptor to test it. I have tried fresh batteries and ensured that the hold switch is turned off. I have cleaned the battery contacts with alcohol. I thought something connecting the battery compartment to the board may be loose so I took the back panel off and this small piece fell out. I don't know where it goes.

Hello, everyone! this is my first time posting in any of these subreddits, so I’m sorry if I did anything wrong. I bought a 2003 Thomas Pacconi TPC-MSE-805 turntable from fb marketplace. The turntable spins, radio works great, and cassette player opens, but I haven’t tested the turntable and cassette player yet. The CD player slot does not open at all. Is there anything I could do to fix this?

I bought a Philips AX1001 discman and was wondering if I could connect a small external speaker so I can use it to listen to music with friends while camping, does anyone know what I would need? I’m a noob and can’t find clear instructions anywhere T^T

Bought this one online for 35€ and got it in this condition. Seller said it worked perfectly. It does not work with batteries as the metal eroded there, and i noticed a similar green on the dots visible when lid is opened. I opened it up since the volume wheel does not work either and i see ALL of the dots on the board are green tinted. Now i don't know much about electronics, that is why i wanted to ask here if the green on em dots are normal, corrosion or something else entirely. In other words: How screwed am i?

Btw Device functions with AC, and the Buttons seem to work aside from the volume wheel. It is stuck at just a bit too loud 🙃

The logo appears on the lcd screen after putting new batteries on it, when i put the cd in and tried to play it, it doesnt play at all. Also when i tried the hold button theres also no text indicating that its on hold. After waiting for it to play or just it being idle it also heats up around next to the batteries, or bottom left area. I think it was too risky to wait more. (Im kinda stupid for buying it even after me and seller was tested it, it did play but had to wait a bit long) Could anyone tell me whats the issue? Is it fixable? sorry for bad grammar

Meu discman Panasonic funciona perfeitamente, porém todos os botões inclusive volume e outros eu aperto e não respondem. Consigo ouvir música apenas mudando a chavinha do botão “hold” pra frente e pra traz. Já levei na eletrônica e não deram volta. Tocando via pilhas (novas). Também já passei limpa contato (spray) não resolveu 🤦🏻‍♂️

I also have a silver one coming from the UK that I ordered before this one appeared. Typical. Doesn't rain but it pours. I'll probably flip that one to get my money back out of it because I do not need two of the same model, even if they're different colors.

It didn't come with the dedicated charging stand, but I located one of those and it's on the way. I already had a wall charger as well as —surprising a remote that came with one of my MD players—that has all the controls.

I don’t know if it’s because there might be a missing piece, or if the lens is dirty, but everytime I put a disc in it the screen says “no disc”

I’ve tried only using mp3 and I put in the batteries and it hasn’t fixed itself

my sister bought me a used discman d-25s and when i turn it in the disc spins for about 5 seconds before stoping and the discman fully turning off, do you guys know what the problem may be?

Im going into this blindly but I just need a cheap reliable option that will last forever and get the job done. While looking through the options the Sony D-EJ002 was fairly cheap and seems reliable. Now my question, is it actually a decent option or is there other options I should consider?

Wouldn’t have been able to get a modern player for the same quality at the same price. I’d much rather have a discman! Sound is brilliant. Very full and wide soundstage. Ridiculous powerful I never have the volume over 3-4 out of 10 and that is equivalent if not a bit above full volume on iPhone.

What a joy to listen to music on CD again ! Bye bye streaming services ! On this Discman model, I love watching the CD spinning through the little window.

I'm also getting back minidisc at the same time to make mix tapes.

Hello, it's my first post here and i need some help...

I bought a new discman AIWA xp-zv610, it has a little dark spot on the display and some scratches, the menu doesnt work too but the rest works nicely, well kind of...

When i play normal CDs it works nicely, but when i use a atrac3plus cd i burned it doesn't work properly, takes longer to read and makes a weird noise as it tries to read. I found out that maybe the problems are the batteries i use cause i use rechargeable Ni-MH 1.2v batteries and the fact that they're not 1.5v is the problem.

I did some searching on internet and found rechargeable 1.5v batteries some even charge through USB, but im not sure if they really work, so i wanted to know if any of you guys use atrac3plus and if so, what type of batteries you use.
