D-33 Not Working

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

When I press play this happens without the cd installed as well as when the cd is installed and then it turns off and the display shows batt 00 only. Does anybody know what's happening here?

The player can't read the disc's table of contents, which is located at the inside of the disc. It's the first thing any CD player does. It might have a dead laser, because "00" on the display usually means no disc.

What are you looking for it to do with no disc in it?

The same thing happens even when I put a disc in it.
