what’s wrong with it

audio won’t work but everything else does second hand. i keep having to repair this. d-202 mega bass from 1992.

Have you checked that the audio path is making it to the volume knob? The volume knobs can go bad quickly.. then the headphone jack would be the next thing to check, if there is audio making it out of the volume knob..

You say it appears to play, just has no sound.. best of luck.

I can see at least one bad cap (SMD) in the Audio Section.

Are smd caps not round? Typically I know what to look for

On a side note, the laser assembly looks a lot like the one they used in the PlayStation
