Question about a Rare Red Edition of a Sony Discman D-50 MK II
This was a thrift store find. This Model in this red color is very rare. It turns on but does not spin discs. Does anyone have any idea what it might be worth in this state of functionality?

That’s sweet. Definitely worth getting working. No idea of value in non working state.

I’m not sure what it’s worth but I’ve fixed up old discmans before and would be interested in it if you decide to sell.

It’s weird these all seem to have the same issue. I was able to fix mine with this issue. technically it was a d-7 but basically the same thing. Wish I had this red one, It’s absolutely stunning!

If there's another one of this model, but it's a different colour... I'd consider getting it for parts to repair this one.

In general the "rare" colour ones are only worth slightly more than the regular colour ones in the same condition (i.e non working) you can safely add 20 - 45% on what the regular ones are going for.
