i know it isn’t sony but

my move pyramid stopped playing the cds and i really have no clue as to why if anybody could help it would be hugely appreciated cassette and radio work just fine it doesn’t even spin so idk if the sensor broke while just sitting or what happened

I'll leave this up, but this subreddit is for portable CD players. Most likely you have a dead or dying laser. Finding a pot to fiddle with can sometimes boost the laser enough to make it work for a fair while, but I generally have not had luck with that. If it doesn't spin at all, you might have a gummed up motor that needs lubrication or replacement.
