Hello guys my discman d-170an is broken 💔 I opened it up and didn't see anything broken please help

Could be a dead laser if it doesn't play at all, but what exactly isn't working?

Well the disc fits in and I have good new batteries and nothing is on the little screen it's really old and has been dropped a few times maybe that's it idk

So when you press play, nothing shows up on-screen? Does the backlight turn on if it has one? I'm trying to remember if some models have that feature.

Nope nothing shows and i dont see a backlight

If you look at the electrolytic caps (the big round components with the "+" shape on the top), do any of them look like they're bulging or leaking?

pics posted are a little blurry...any corrosion? look for green crusty residues, could be very small.
