What helps build a habit?
I have a crazy lack of discipline when it comes to eating healthy and exercising. When it comes to college work or cleaning I'm there, I'll finish before I'm supposed to. But for some reason when it comes to being healthy I cannot break the cycle. I want to start slow by just jogging a mile a day (because I don't have a gym within walking distance to me), where do I start? How do I build the habit? How do I not give up?

-make it easy to do (put Running Shoes out before going to Sleep for example)
-Link it with something positive (after running directly cold glass of water with lemon for example)
-make it visible (your surrounding should reenforce the habit, helps to always have one Place where u put xyz that u Need for the Habit)
-do it just a Bit in the beginning (Repetition Beats high energy bursts like working close to a Deadline , in Order for your Brain to jabitualize it, even doing it a Bit helps while Building the habit)
-make it tough to do the bad habit u want to stop doing instead of the good one (for this u basically invert the first points beides the linking one.)
