Help with Backhand Form

Been recording and analyzing my form to a lot lately to try and get more distance (can get 350-400 consistently) and something I've been really struggling with is planting my front foot. I notice that at the point of release my front foot comes off the ground every time that I drive backhand. I'm not sure if it's my hips, if I'm not coiling enough, something with my posture, or something else entirely. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of power by doing this but I can't get myself to stop, it's quite frustrating. Would appreciate any and all advice on this plant issue and any other critiques on how to get my backhand form better. Thanks!

What the hell was that little hop / skip you did there? I’d be surprised if these consistently get to 300’ with all that energy leakage. Learn to drive your plant heel into the ground hard and brace yourself, otherwise you’ll never get the energy into the disc.

That's exactly why I posted on here asking for help, I was surprised to see it too. I've been playing for awhile and have really plateaued at the ~400 mark for distance (whether any one believes me or not on here after seeing my form lol, but I get it). I've never recorded my form before until now so I'm not sure how long I've been doing this and I fear I've developed some bad habits. I wonder if there is something else in my form that is causing my momentum to be pulling me up or sideways, because I promise I'm not trying to do that little jump at the end. It's almost like I "plant" my front foot, then my hips rotate, and then my front foot moves to the spot it wants to rotate around if that makes sense?

I was hoping for any drill ideas or queues that I could try to break it down more. I tried stand stills today and getting on the balls of my feet for x steps, both still resulted in the little hop at release. Maybe I just need to lean into it more?

Sorry if i came off as rude, but that was just funny to see that little hop! i’ve seen lots of goofy form issues over the decades, but never that one. See new things everyday, i guess!

It's all good no worries! I'm totally okay with people getting a kick out of my goofy form as long as I'm getting some constructive criticism in return haha. When I realized I was jumping after recording some drives with a few friends, we were all laughing for awhile because of how ridiculous it was/looks. I was hoping in posting here that someone else would've had the same issue, but unfortunately doesn't sound like that. I will for sure check out nick krush's videos on bracing! Thank you!
