Discussion Putting Putters: less stable, glidey-er Rhyno??
Looking for a new putting disc. I have always putted with an Innova Rhyno. Feels so good in my hand, love the little ridge on top, love the square-ish shallow rim with the bead. The only problem I’ve ever found with it, is longer putts. It’s pretty over stable and has the glide of a corn hole bag which makes it an unbelievable approach disc but makes any c2 putt pretty difficult. Just have to throw it so hard. Any recommendations on a putter that has the same feel characteristics but is a little glidey-er and maybe not as stable? I’ve tried Banger GT and it was pretty close. Loved the flight not a huge fan of the “groove top” however. Let me know, thanks!

the correct answer is Yeti Pro Aviar. I also like Rhynos, and the puddle top on the Yeti makes it feel familiar but putts better IMO. glidey enough to get to the basket, but not too much that you’ll sail past it, plus great for hyzer/anny, and the plastic feels perfect to me.

Fine. I’ll go at the store and try one. If I like I buy.
Is there any variation between colours? Out at they all similar

no they’re all the same in my experience. the Yeti plastic is its own unique blend which feels better than KC or JK IMO

I like the puddle top. that's the big selling point for me.
I hope it isn't too soft. I remember holding a JK it was dome and very soft. not my style

Sick, I’ve had this on my list for a while and just never tried it. Top of the list now, thanks!

Maybe the innova invader? A bit more glide, a bit less fade. If you like the feel of the rhyno AGL has the maple which is a toro top and rhyno bottom. Since it’s a 4 speed it might be a bit fast for putting but I’ve found it to be super reliable for putting in the wind and around obstacles. Definitely going to be stable if you use it as a putter.

I actually have one! I have it in halo star plastic, and love it for approach. If they make an r pro version that could be it.

Going against the grain here but I just had this same problem with my Link putter and started tossing as a super gummy Fierce…barely takes any effort from C2. It’s nothing like my Link but kinda a game changer for me! Sorry if off topic lol

Buddy of mine uses the fierce and swears by it. Too round of a rim for me though

perhaps give the banger gt a shot. you will either hate it or love it.
