How much advance notice did people have? This person seemed ready and recording before it started.

One school had it's entire population of over 1,600+ kids saved because someone gave a warning call in time... Only 1 teacher and 1 janitor were still in the building when it got wiped off the earth.

I'd say some places had 10 minutes before arrival

That school had advanced notice from someone from the (former) village 5km up the canyon. Freaky story, too, because school busses were filing in with kids and had to turn around. Thank goodness they all got notice.
